I am SOOO grateful for Lost Coyote and their staff!! I wanted to enjoy my birthday with friends at a pool and from the moment I called, they were so nice and informative. They allowed us to bring a cake and their hospitality was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly host and an awesome bartender. You purchase your pool pass ($20) at the bar and you're given a complimentary glass of champagne! Like what a deal RIGHT?! Love it! The pool is BIG and there is plenty seating. There are tables with a covered patio if you want to sit at the table with friends before hopping in the pool. I love that there is an outside bar near the pool. Every single person at Lost Coyote was KIND, SWEET, and SO PERSONABLE!!! My heart was so full for my birthday. I plan on returning several times and visiting the staff. One of the owners was even on site. Honey let me tell you, EVERY one checks on you to make sure everything is okay! From the owner, to the chef, bartender, and other staff! THE FOOD IS SO GOOD!! The food honestly exceeded my expectations. It isn't just regular chicken tenders and fries. The seasonings and sauces are immaculate. Chef's kiss for real (muah). Try the fish and chips. All of my friends were also impressed! The drinks? Nice and strong! No corners cut at all at Lost Coyote baby. I want to give a special thank you to Jess, Kyle, Waites "Daddy," the chef, host, and staff that I didn't catch their names. I loved the atmosphere, the intimacy, and family-like hospitality at this restaurant. It is truly an experience. I'm so glad I chose to go to the Lost Coyote to celebrate my birthday. Daddy danced with me and I hope to hear him play our song on the Banjo. Gosh. The staff just makes me so warm. I cried tears of joy because that was one of the best birthdays in my life. Cheers, Lost Coyote🥹😘🥂!

In this culinary Mecca, spoiled for choice and quality, it’s hard to get excited enough about new food to stop and write a review. But holy shit, my dudes! Went with a group of 6 a couple weeks ago, and got to order one of everything on the short, but stacked menu. The scallop cassoulet, the red bean hummus, the seared fish were standouts for us. And hand to God, that might’ve been the best bite of cornbread I’ve ever had in my life. The pork belly didn’t hit like I hoped, but those crispy olives, tho?? They had a flavor and texture that I can’t describe with words, but my mouth craves. The chef/owner is way too humble for her obvious, but understated talent. Also got to try every cocktail on the menu. I’ve never been partial to tequila or gin, but loved both the Sol-Searcher and the Penta-Tonic. No bon-fire-smoke-heavy, burn-your-tongue-off spicy tequila like every other restaurants’ signature tequila cocktail. And not once did a juniper berry slap me in the face. 10/10 mixology. No notes. And then this woman, after serving me some of the best sauce pairings I’ve ever tasted in my life, which were summarily licked clean off the plates, finishes the meal with a root beer float?! This some otherworldly comfort food. Clean and modern flavors, some of which you damn sure ain’t never tasted before, but feel somehow familiar. This woman is a fae trickster in the kitchen. Ate like royalty for under $100 a person, including tip, but you could easily do this for ~$65 a person and leave smiling. Immaculate vibes and service. Great first date spot, or to catch up with an old best friend over new flavors. Don’t forget to pet the goat. (That’s not a euphemism.) Treat yoself to the most exciting new spot I’ve tried in years, before it blows up and you need a reservation 2 weeks out.

Walking from Jazz Fest yesterday evening and decided to stop at this newly opened restaurant/bar on Esplanade.

The aesthetic is beautiful, ambience is very pleasant.

My friend and I sat at the bar where this super kind waiter (hate I didn’t get his name, he was the sweetest) told us about the current special— 2lbs of crawfish which includes a pool pass that can be redeemed on another day and a free beer.. we decided to go for it! I’d also been craving crawfish the entire day so I felt like I hit the jackpot!! We decided to order drinks as well instead of the beer. We chose to sit outside since the weather was lovely on yesterday.

He walked out and handed us our crawfish, that’s where the disappointment started.. the to-go plate he handed us clearly, apparently, obviously, was not 2lbs. I’m knowing this as I am a native of New Orleans, I should know what 2lbs of crawfish looks like. I can typically eat 4lbs by myself, this is what we do here! Lol. I mentioned it and he gave us another to-go plate filled w| crawfish after speaking w| his manager. I was thankful that he did accommodate us. Again, he was truly the sweetest. After digging in, the crawfish were very dry- I mean no juice at all and super cold. At that point, we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. I’m assuming a typical tourist wouldn’t notice the amount nor care about the taste. I couldn’t dismiss it.

Overall, this is a lovely spot. Drinks were amazingly, amazing. Service was great! I'm disappointed the crawfish didn't work out; however, I am VERY excited to try this spot again. I'll of course be ordering something other than crawfish.

Truly, everything was great except that one hiccup. This place really is a gem perfect location tucked away in the 6th ward of New Orleans, right off...
