Five of us (myself, my wife and three teen to adult children) went here late one Sunday evening on a recommendation. We started with the bread knots and whipped cheese. The knots were a doughy disappointment, to be honest, but the whipped cheese was a revelation - *if* you like garlic, which we all do - it was light in texture but amazingly (and strongly) flavored. I can still taste it now, an hour later! The pizzas serve about two people with a reasonable appetite. We had the white, the funghi and the tutti carne. They were all very good. This is New York style pizza with a thin, light and crispy base. You can get dipping sauces for the pizza edges, but that whipped cheese from the garlic knots was more than enough. We all wanted dessert, but it was getting towards closing time and our waitress, who had been all friendliness and efficiency to that point, suddenly got confused and forgetful and eventually announced that the restaurant was pretty much out of every dessert option. She had clearly had enough and wanted us to leave, which was a disappointing end to what had been a pleasant experience. We'll probably go again, but try to be there at least an hour earlier.

Really enjoyed our experience at Pizza Domenica. We choose this restaurant because they had a Restaurant Week menu that included vegetarian options. We didn't realize the first location we chose was take-out only so we eventually made our way over to this lovely corner of the city. Everything was super tasty including a very hardy pasta salad and mushroom toasts (that were made veggie by holding the lardo). We had the mushroom pizza which was great. We tried both the cookie and the cinnamon knots and the cookie was definitely our favorite - warm, gooey, chocolate-y. We didn't have any service issues to speak of, though our apps and our pizza did come come out within a minute of each other which wasn't ideal. Luckily we were hungry enough and the food was tasty enough that we made short work of all of it.

I arrived just after they opened. There is a dedicated parking lot with an entrance on Harrison. I was seated promptly. Was given a bit too much time to get to order. Once the pizza was brought out, the young man asked if I had ordered my pizza with no alterations or with alterations. I ordered with no alterations. He goes and discusses something with his coworkers, brings a different pizza and takes away the original pizza. Very weird. Surely there must be some system of telling which pizza belongs to whom. I am sitting here waiting for a box for my leftovers for a hot minute watching new customers come in, talk and wait for whatever it is they are desiring. There is no sense of urgency at all with the pace of the employees or customers.

I know this isn’t a job review but I deserve to be heard. I had been working at Pizza Domenica since July. The acts of both managers were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I contacted the manager on December 1st that I was ready to work again upon taking a break for finals (one week). I was not scheduled. I went in to Pizza Domenica again on Tuesday the 6th to asked to be scheduled again. The assistant manager was there and said it was fine. I texted both managers to remind them to be scheduled. The schedule was already made even though I have been asking to be scheduled for two weeks. I was then told they could “use me” later because people were taking off for holidays. I’ve been an employee since July before both managers got there and feel extremely disrespected and will not be returning to work. Do not work here if you’re looking for a place where management cares about you. Line cooks are overworked with poor pay. Turnover rates are fast, nobody sticks around. Everything looks good from the outside but inside is a mess.

I will give credit where it’s due though. Awesome pizza and awesome employees that put in hard work. Dine with Michael! Or sit at the bar with Stephanie! Line cook Keaton is a great cook and...

I called ahead and made sure that the staff knew I had a 7 top coming in for 6:00pm when we arrive the host that had taken my phone call gave the table away to a bunch of loud women they sat us directly on top of. We arrived for 5:50pm. I gave our last name and said for 6:00 p.m when we got there he said oh I'm sorry I gave your table away I thought y'all were coming in for 7:00 when I specifically had to correct him on the phone 6pm. we found the staff to be completely immature irresponsible and not very helpful very slow. Our waitress did not come to our table or acknowledge us for about a good 10 minutes. It would have been fine because it was the only day my family was in town for me to enjoy some company with them but the women that they sat us on top of that took our table away we're so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak so the experience at your restaurant was really terrible I give you less than one star 000 when it comes to your staff and your hosting. other than that the food was five star amazing would we go here again with such irresponsible staff absolutely not. I just read all the bad reviews and it's all about operations. That means maybe a change of management is time. Until I see under new...
