12/12/2020 - Years later we find ourselves returning with friends to remodeled dinningroom for another go. Ordered the grill plate, guacamole, ceviche, and some other items. Friendly service, timely presentation, and great quality food made a definite impression. Everything was great and we were able to enjoy our time with friends. Oh... even offered me a cold glass this time... imagine that!

Previously... Decided to stop in for lunch and grab a fajita plate. I almost asked for a new table since the hostess sat us directly at the kitchen window and doors. The menu was interesting but way overpriced. The combo fajitas jump from $25 to $35, so you figure it's significantly more food and while we didn't need more to fill us for lunch... it was a dinner entree. My wife's mojito was excellent but my beer came with a giant lime and no glass. Your either a $30/plate establishment or you're NOT. The entire time they were working on inventory at the table behind us, employees ordered pizza at our table on a cell phone, I even know who's working what section for the next full week. Dishes clanking, employees yelling for each other and scraping of plates being bussed from tables, were the highlights of our meal. After finding a different waiter... we were able to get some extra napkins and water. Salsa and chips are one serving only. Food was good and we actually had nothing leftover... a first for us! Lol The service and atmosphere was horrific and we will...

March 2018 - Here to celebrate my birthday with a friend. We ordered lobster claw & shrimp quesadilla. Good flavor. Succulent meats (shrimp, lobster). We had pineapple-lime & blueberry margaritas as adult beverages; quite the tasty treat. Additionally, I was given a piece of Flan as a birthday dessert, how scrumptious was that? Lemme tell you, it was VERY GOOD.

Despite the on-going construction, the nosie level was minimal & enjoyed food & company. Being in the middle of the day, we basically had the restaurant to ourselves.

Our server was quite attentive & well trained in customer service.

There's an off street parking lot across the street & of course street parking is available if you wanna be closer to the restaurant.

Pricing was fair.

Totally a happening place. Always a party. I love the open atmosphere. DRINK SPECIALS, ALL DAY, ALL THE TIME!!!!!!

The food here is tasty, price right & delivered within a timely fashion.

I've been here SEVERAL times & they are consistently good each time.

Parking is crazy, but...

Disappointed. I was hesitant but the other nearby Mexican place was packed. I have had a negative experience in the French quarter location.

Staff was great! That part was good.

The food was subpar. Chips were not homemade and that's just a basic. Salsa was tasteless and the special "oregano" salsa was weird. Too sweet or something. They use the chicken tender part of a chicken breast. Not sure why that is so important, but it's all over the menu.

I had not been in years and the "stuffed" pepper used to be a favorite. This pepper was not stuffed and just had globs of salty cheese on the top melted with a mushroom sauce. I felt cheated. The chicken enchiladas were okay and so was the rice. My son received his burrito as a mess on the plate, but fortunately, our very sweet server was not okay with that either and had them redo it. He said his burrito was good.

They followed Covid guidelines.

Definitely kid friendly and the wait staff is great! Food needs some work in my humble opinion. I am a true Mexican food connoisseur and the disappointment...

Very cute place with good food. This is not the typical Mexican food. For example, the Mexican rice is riddled with corn and green peas and is flavorful and is part of most entrees, as is the beans. The latter not just refried beans, but hole beans in there natural creamy sauce. I ordered the tri enchiladas: 2 chicken one cheese and all of them were very tasty. The red salsa sauce, however, that accompanies the dish in a separate metal gravy boat was a bit too sweet. The house salsa and chips were very good; chips nice and crispy and fresh. I also ordered the El Gato soup, which is a take on charro soup, was chucked full of tender pulled pork and was very hearty- actually too filling.
