There's no better way to cap off a Sunday morning in New Orleans than a visit to District Donuts. As the city buzzes with the brunch crowd post-church, finding a spot that combines ease of access with exceptional taste can be a tall order. Yet, District Donuts stands out as a perfect option for a Sunday afternoon treat! This delightful spot not only serves up some of the most delicious burgers in the city but also a rotating selection of inventive donuts that keeps you coming back for more. On my latest visit, I indulged in the spring beignet donut filled with an exquisite coffee mousse and a cream cheese-filled berry glazed donut. Both offerings were beyond phenomenal, perfectly capturing the essence of spring with their freshness and innovative flavors. District Donuts is a testament to the culinary creativity and quality that New Orleans is renowned for. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for a quick yet utterly satisfying dining experience on a bustling Sunday afternoon. Whether you're in it for the burgers or the donuts, you're in for a treat.

Today, I decided to stop by District Donuts in Lakeview, a spot I’ve always enjoyed recommending to visitors. I ordered two different items from the menu, looking forward to the usual quality, but I was disappointed to find that both donuts were incredibly hard and difficult to eat. I approached the cashier, Luke, to let him know about the issue. While he did apologize, I was surprised and disappointed that he didn’t offer a refund or even suggest replacing the donuts with something else. As someone who lives in the community and frequently encourages guests to visit District Donuts, this experience was really disheartening. I’ve always valued supporting local businesses, but it’s crucial for the service to reflect the loyalty of local customers. If this issue isn’t addressed, it will be hard for me to continue recommending or returning to the establishment. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the customer experience, ensuring that other patrons don’t have to face the same disappointment.

I had heard great things about this place and so we made it part of our target mission we're a target mission to stop by and have breakfast twist after staying the night in the French quarter before we hit city park and did the hiking and exploring and seeing things there. We totally needed the hike and nice walk after eating this fantastic breakfast. Parking is absolutely terrible. The line was continuously out the door. The smell when walking in is absolutely tantalizing And you will pray for the line to move faster. The donuts are ready to go but everything else is made by hand when ordered and you can watch it all go down. There are many more appetizing items on the menu and will definitely Check these out and make this another stop. I'm extremely interested in their afternoon fair as their little chicken sandwich and their little Burger sliders look fantastic. Stop buying check this place out it's definitely worth the fight for the parking.

I'm so confused by these reviews saying the donuts are the best they've ever had. Have these people actually ever had donuts before? Or are they trying to rationalize the amount of money they just blew on it? Would love to hear what makes these donuts good compared to other places (re:every donut shop in the area). I've tried this place so many times over the past ~decade to prove myself wrong, but am disappointed every time. The sliders are okay. Should really drop the "donuts" from the name.

Stale school cafeteria bread rolls with a hole in them are not donuts. The toppings do not make up for the flavorless and sugarless dough used. And there is waaaay too much overworked dough. Even the filled ones, like the bananas foster, are not nearly filled enough. If going decadent and overpriced, then go all the way!

In fact, too much salt is used instead. The chocolate chip cookies? Too much salt. The salted caramel donut? Sea salt glaze. Salt is important for bringing out sweetness, but it is a very delicate balancing act, and it seems District lacks the finesse needed.

As I noted earlier, the sliders and burgers are okay, but overpriced. But if you want sweets, then go somewhere else; you will not...

I have always loved the district on magazine street so when I purchased a home near the district on Harrison I was excited to be able to enjoy it more often.

Sadly, you should stay away from this location. I’ve been there twice over the span of three months and each time there’s been major issues.

This last time (Monday November 4th) was the last straw. I ordered the Smokey Bird but ended up being given The Rooster. I didn’t say anything as there’s no reason to waste food and my experience thus far was going okay. The sandwich was great.

When going to the counter to ask for a to go box the cook was the only person behind the counter so I asked them for the box. They - I kid you not- rolled their eyes, scoffed loudly, looked at their dirty gloves, removed them, got the box, looked me in my eyes and said “you’re welcome” before I could even say thank you. She was so rude I couldn’t even react.

If you hate your job that much, quit. If you like your job and you have zero social skills, work somewhere similar where you don’t have to interact...
