We celebrated my boyfriends birthday here tonight and we are so glad that we did. Everything was incredible. I didn't get as many pictures as I normally would because I was soaking it all in. It was so cozy, from the lighting, to the lush green plants, and the delicately placed flowers at each table. It was such a treat to enjoy all the flavorful dishes. We started with Groth Cabernet Oakville which was juicy and fresh, and the old fashioned has to be one of the best we've ever had. The crab, brie, and champagne soup was rich, warm, and the chili sauce made it pop. Like a hug from grandma. So much flavor in the refrigerator noodles. Refreshing, and the black garlic was out of this world. ABC chicken had so many layers of flavors and could have been its own meal entirely. If you like fried shrimp you cannot go wrong with the salt baked shrimp, on a bed of veggies and so delicious. It definitely got better with the Duck Breast à L'Orange & the Izakaya Steak. The flavors, the presentation was all on point. Even the desert were beautifully placed and so tasty. Thank you all for an incredible evening. I can't wait to try Saffron next.

Another home run from Saffron chef Ashton Vilkhu. Asian fusion/contemporary menu with a variety of influences from stir fry noodles to izakaya, as well as a decent bit of gulf coast flair with shrimp and seafood offerings. Menu is prefixe style consisting of 4 courses and 3 options for each course. Everything well executed and balanced. Superb service, it seems there were at least 1-2 busboys or staff assisting the server. Had a hard time narrowing down my cocktail choice, but settled on the Day Dreamer, which was light and juicy but not too sweet. Great non alcoholic options too including this coconut Ube cocktail that was very popular among tables around us. Interior is clean and warm. You can tell there was thought put into every detail. Even the forks were unique. Definitely could see this being a great spot for a special date night or bringing guests to see the best of what Nola has to offer.

Lovely new Asian-inspired restaurant that offers a 4 course tasting menu with several options, to include a vegetarian menu. The robust sauces paired with the well prepared and visually appealing selections were a highlight and treasured discovery as you dug into each course. Service was well-timed, and each dish explained in detail beyond the well-written descriptive menu. Large cocktail with a few mocktails to choose from, along with wine by the glass or bottle, 6 select potted teas, and multiple types of Asian beers from Japan, China, and other countries. Dining room lighting, plating, and linens were on point, along with sound dampening made for easy conversations with friends or an intimate dining experience with your partner. Perfect for a celebration, date night, or just a night you don't feel like cooking and want to turn it up a notch.
