This is a place for sugar addicts! If sugar wasn't legal it would be illegal and the only thing that makes sense about all the good reviews here is that there are LOTS of sugar addicts in the world these days. EVERYTHING here is disgustingly sweet and I'm not a sugar addict so this food just isn't good to me, I find it a poor value, and the portion size doesn't fill me up.

I've been here 4 times so far and I ate during the first two visits then just drank on my third visit, and on my (last) fourth visit I gave it one last chance. The food is just not good to me at all (granted this is not my favorite style of food). The first time I had the jerk chicken and found it to be SLIMY and not at all spicy. The second time I had the tacos and found them bland, very very small, overpriced, and not at all filling. The third time I sampled several of their drinks which were good but not outstanding and nowhere close to being worth the PRICE (and this was during happy hour). I had heard recently that the food's flavor has improved substantially since they first opened but on my last visit the tacos are still very tiny and the lamb and scallop tacos were super sweet to the point of being gross to me. The price for three micro tacos and an iced tea was $18! It was such little food I had to buy three more tacos at a taco truck not long after for $8 so just double your order at the taco truck and you will still save money and maybe get a decent sized meal that doesn't taste like pure sugar.

This place gets two stars instead of one as it is a good place to people watch and it does bring in a large crowd (somehow, despite the mediocre food, that I just don't understand except it is between Juan's and Nacho Mama's so maybe people run from Nacho's to Juan's and then Juan's is too crowded so they compromise to go here). I'm completely not a fan of their food and thus regulating it to a place I might just occasionally grab a tropical cocktail.

Since the lockdowns the prices have gone up so much I've noticed the formerly large crowds have dwindled for their taco Tuesday special and I just never feel compelled to return.

Tip: If you eat here on a regular basis you are going to have a much higher risk of developing diabetes as the sugar content of the food...

Great location, nice decor, outdoor seating, sports on TV, large bar, friendly servers. I had heard from many people how great the food is here, and what great tacos they have here. It's ALWAYS packed when I drive by, even in the "off season". I expected great food. That being said, it was just "ok" for me. THE FOOD: For appetizers, we had Damn Good Nachos..the menu says... A Biggs Favorite! Pulled pork, black beans, jalapeños, tomatoes, red onion, lime cream, cilantro and tons of melted cheese. It was a big hit at the table, and the melted cheese was delicious. The only drawback for me were the chips. Too thin and tasteless. We also had calamari.  The dip was ok, the calamari was chewy and didnt have a lot of flavor. For my main entree, I got the Trifecta.  3 tacos and a side. I chose the brisket, pork mole, and lamb vindaloo. The brisket meat was tender and tasty, and I got a taste of some good bbq sauce. The lamb vindaloo was surprisingly lacking in lamb flavor. I really had to struggle to distinguish it from just a beef flavor. The pork mole was also not great. I didn't taste mole, and the meat was not real flavorful. I gotta talk about the tortillas. Bad. Small. Tasteless. Cold. I hate when places use the stupid "taco stand". I think restaurateurs think it makes a classy, neater appearance on the plate, but I think it just covers up a lack of ingredients in the tortilla. For my side, I had the Roasted Poblano And Manchego Polenta. It has good flavor but a weird consistency. I will say there were 7 others in my party, and everyone else thought it was great. I expected more. FOR ME..I'd give the food 2 stars. Decent for a tourist spots. Probably pretty consistent.  Since it was a cool spot, and everyone else liked it, I'll boost that...

This place is delicious the Caribbean/Latin and American Fusion is such a wonderful thing. The food isn't too heavy but it is absolutely packed with flavor. Occasionally, when our kids are in school, my husband and I will sneak here to eat. We always get the tacos! They have a great variety of options and 2, 3 and 4 taco combo options. My favorites are The Briskett, Flaked Fish, Jerk Chicken and the DrewBreese/Day-bree. Other good ones are the Glazed Shrimp, Glory Glory Hallelujah. I still want to try the Trinidad Chicken, the Calypso Beef and the Creole Rib. They do have 2 vegetarian taco options that also sound really good. You get a side with your taco and I really like the Roasted Rasta Vegetables. It reminds me of a Ratatouille but I think better. The sweet potato fries are good but were a little to crispy for me. The options are endless here it seems and your eyes will be all over the place. And not to be overshadowed, they have an extensive drink menu. You wont be disappointed here. The service is really good. They are quick and are pretty good at anticipating your needs like refills, etc. They get pretty busy in in evenings, on the weekends and of course when big events are in town, so choose wisely as to when you go. They also have outside seating so you can people watch on Magazine.
