Asian Dragon — Restaurant in New Port Richey

THE BEST Chinese and Asian food restaurant in our area! Over the past ten years living just across the street from Asian Dragon, the property has changed hands many times, taking on different ventures, making it a skeptical location to dine. It's exterior not exactly appetizing or pleasing to the eye, however when no other Chinese restaurant around would satisfy anymore, the decision was made to give the latest business a try. Wow! We were only left disappointed by our own decision to have waited so long to patronize Asian Dragon! We've helped to spread the word about it's delicious fare as other neighbors felt the same way about the locations history. I strongly encourage you to try Asian Dragon next time you're craving Chinese or Japanese food. You won't be disappointed! Don't feel like paying for delivery but don't want to get dressed up to pick up food? USE THEIR DRIVE-THRU!!! Yes, they have a DRIVE-THRU pickup and order window!!! Located at the front of its US Hwy 19 location. Have not dined in yet or even seen their dining room, but have ordered on several different occasions now and done the drive thru window for pick up. First time here. We ordered a pokebowl and three rolls. The cost was $40. Time from order to complete was less than 15 minutes. We took our order to eat at home to go. Once we got home, it was hard not to tear into the food just on the smell! In short, the entire experience was delicious and left us wanting more. My pokebowl had fried chicken and shrimp on a bed of mixed veggies and rice with some delicious sauce mingled in. My wife ordered three rolls, and we split it all between us back home. The rolls were fresh and well put together. Each roll had its own flavor, and all three were fantastic. I was partial to the dynamite roll, and my wife really enjoyed the peanut avacado roll. I had two sushi rolls, and both were very good. The tuna and eel tasted fresh. I took my meal to go and received it and a cute little bag that made the experience even better. This building has had many restaurants in it, and none of them have been good... our neighborhood's luck is changing with this addition. The food is good and the price is reasonable.

Just as an update... my second trip to Asian Dragon was simply as great as my first. This time, I called in my order and went and picked it up. I'm trying the General Tso's chicken, and it is fantastic. The gentleman at the counter and the crew in the kitchen are so very helpful and always polite. The lunchtime menu is very cheap and they give you good portions. Look how fresh that...
