Was excited to try the only Brew Pub on the block. We walked in to the empty restaurant, explained we wanted try their beers, sodas for the kids and an App to hold them off. We were immediately treated like we were an inconvenience, and had to bargain are worth. As a former bartender,I tried to relate to them and keep it as simple as possible. Without simply leaving. I Took the drink order of all the kids to save the bartender time; she was in pub the weeds with us 4 adults. bad attitude, understatement...no customer appreciation. No conversation skills or desire to provide an experience or simply good service. I Still tipped 20% on the $60 drink and app order because maybe she hates her job and is stuck but Jen should be retrained, sent to work overseas for less pay and higher standards orwork in prep. Away from the front of the house.Owners, read your reviews once in awhile! Also, one house made beer on tap....? Sad, hire a new GM and passionate team. You'll be happy you did. One positive note, awesome nachos! Good job...
Read moreDisappointment doesn't begin to describe how I felt after paying a $90 tab for lunch(2adults,10yr old)when 2 out of the 3 items ordered were not edible. My husband ordered the clam chowder it was extremely watered down, no chunks or pieces of clam, no potatoes. We ordered the poutine fries.Typically they're fries with beef gravy, cheese curds, these were cold and (oddly) had clam chowder spread over them, no gravy or cheese. The nachos were good, typical bar nachos, the side of queso dip that came with them was great. Our server was polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Just wish we hadn't left hungry after a bill like that. Unfortunately we would not recommend **UPDATE, unbeknownst to us, some restaurants on the island, this one included, serves "Rhode Island Clam Chowder", which is broth based, not cream & potatoes like we're used to. So it was not watered down. Also, clam chowder on the fries is also a Rhode Island thing that we...
Read moreWe have been regulars at the Mohegan for 29 years now. Our latest trip to this establishment has been nothing short of a catastrophic disappointment. To start out, they are not educating their employees on any part of the menu and wine list. Our waiter, although very nice, was very confused by many of our concerns and requests. The best part of this restaurant was the consistent staples on the menu. The vegetable chili was pure liquid some may even say more liquid than soup. It used to be something we would take home with us by the gallon. A true travesty. The menu was misleading and most food that exited was cold. The French fries (which used to be amazing) were thicker cut and tasted like they were sitting out for the whole week. There is a reason places like the Oar and DED are a 2 hour wait on a Friday and this place was 15 mins. The Mohegan and it’s chef has begun the downfall of its history on this island. We will not...
