Beachside Tavern — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They carded me at the bar and proceeded on serving me a drink and then soon after was asked to leave because according to them I had a “crack in my ID”. I will say that my ID 6 years old… as it is my first ID so it was slightly bent but no where near cracked. I’ve been to the airport with it and various other bars and have never had a problem with it, after all, it is an OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT IDENTIFICATION CARD. I was asked to leave by security, and I tried to show him my ID to prove that it was indeed still intact but he didn’t want to look at it. I was frustrated and humiliated but also confused at the fact that they still served me a drink that was paid for and then proceeded to ask me to leave. Quienesential Dive Bar just south of Daytona Beach. With offerings such as a pool table, Juke bar, stage for live music and bonus outdoor firepits for those chilly nights.

Made a stop here randomly on a Christmas night on my way back up North.

The crowd was diverse and good mix of regulars and newbies.

At first it felt strange being an "outsider" and not from the area but no one bothered me at all. It actually felt good to be a fly on the wall and people watch. There were a few drunk guys but hey it's a bar not a church ! 👻

Like I said. No issues everyone behaved themselves and it's fine. I definitely recommend this place if you have a group !

Great time at The Beachside Tavern seeing The Cosmic Jam. The band blew everyones shoes off. BUT The staff at The Beachside Tavern they stole the show. They were all just so nice. The manager well she was just awesome and everyone was non stop working hard to make sure one and all had a good time and were safe. We had a super fun date night my wife n I after a really tough week at work. It was the perfect place, time and atmosphere. We just wanted to say thank you and we couldn't recommend you guys anymore.
