My recent experience started off frustrating but ultimately turned into a strong example of excellent customer service. I had placed an online order for a pizza and waited the expected 40 minutes before heading to the restaurant to pick it up. When I arrived, I was told my pizza hadn’t been made. They had mistaken my order for a duplicate of another customer’s (Garrett), even though mine was a completely separate order under the name Georgette.
Understandably, I was upset and not willing to wait another 30–40 minutes for the pizza to be made from scratch, so I left the establishment disappointed.
However, what happened next completely turned the situation around. The owner personally reached out to me by phone, apologized for the mix-up, and offered to make and deliver the pizza to our condo. I accepted, and not only did he deliver a fresh, delicious pizza, but he also included a few extra treats as a gesture of goodwill.
I truly appreciated that the owner took the time to correct the mistake and show that he values his customers. That level of care and accountability makes a big difference and deserves recognition. Mistakes happen — but how a business handles them speaks volumes. Thank you again for turning a negative experience into a...
Read morePerfecto Pizza is an independent place new to New Smyrna Beach, and they were great to go in and have a New York style pizza for our family of seven, including five boys.
When you go in, you can dine in or carry out. Orders are placed at the counters, and they have menus to take with you, or laminated ones you can peruse at the tables. Their dough and ingredients are great. As soon as I placed our order, the pizza chef started stretching out our dough. Their garlic knots aren't a generic frozen knock-off, either. These were the largest knots I've ever seen, and they were drenched with garlic butter and served with tasty marinera.
The guys here were very personable, and even though there aren't any wait staff at the location, they were attentive to our needs, and they asked if we wanted the TV station changed, helped with moving the tables, and got a high chair for us.
The prices were reasonable, and even with having to get bottles of beverage (they don't have a soda fountain), we were able to feed our family including a tip for the guys for a couple of dollars less than McDonald's. I don't know if that says more about fast food and price hikes or Perfecto Pizza's price point, but we were pleased.
Thank you for the pizza and the...
Read morePermanently relocated from the Northeast to NSB, we have been disappointed by all the pizza we've found thus far. So many places seem to just "push the pizza" for the sake of eating pizza without any concern for quality or taste. Unless you are an expensive artesian pizza shop, local places proved so disappointing that we would fall back to Papa John's just to get some consistency. Then we called Perfecto, and we ordered a pie that wasn't even on their menu. They didn't say no, and they did their best to fulfill our request. Now, we didn't have high expectations because of all the previous poor showings of the NSB pizza community, but when I went to pick up the pie, Chef popped the lid and showed me a pizza that he's never had ordered before, and it looked very appetizing. That's a good sign. When we got the pie home, with the exception of maybe needing a bit more sauce (chef gave us a side of sauce upon request), we were pleasantly surprised and very happy with the results. They make their own sauce and gravy. We also ordered the meatballs and, with chef's gravy, they were sooooo good. I think we've finally found a "GO TO" pizza shop in NSB with consistent quality. Thank you chefs! Keep up...
