i had a "panini" here and it was exceptionally mediocre. flavorless. the bread was cut crooked and it had some small pieces of flavorless meat and (mostly raw) vegetables inside. no seasoning or sauce or cheese or mayo or anything to bind or give it flavor. when i picked it up everything fell out. out of desperation i sprinkled salt and pepper on it in a vain effort to give it some kind of flavor so i could choke it down. the side salad was ok but nothing special. another person in my party ordered a thirty+ dollar lobster roll and i tried a bite. it was also flavorless and the lobster was chewy and somewhat dry. i tried dipping in butter but it didnt help. i felt sorry for them. i'm not sure which of our food was worse but at least mine was half the price. we each got a drink and shared a small dessert and the bill ended up being almost $80 before tip (and they charged a "plastic fee" without telling us) for some of the worst, most bland and lame "food" i've ever had. i haven't tried their pizza but i watched them being made while waiting for my food and it looked very small for the price. the people were very nice though, at least. overall the experience was truly sad and we (or at least, i) won't be back. my suggestion -- go across the street and enjoy a delicious mexican feast for less than half the cost. and they don't charge any weird deceptive fees without telling you. mermaid is decent also....
Read moreWe are the traveling Motor Coach Gourmets. We frequent restaurants in many different cities and review them. Our ratings are as fair as we can make them as our reviews and yours can also impact a business owner. If we can’t give a 4 or 5 star review, or we don’t care for the service or food, we hold our review and give the place in question a 2nd and 3rd try. If after that, still not to our liking, then we rate the establishment.
This establishment offers quite a variety of different dishes. The sandwiches that we’ve tried are all fresh and delicious. I always order their lobster roll which is always fresh and excellent. It comes on a baked roll with plenty of lobster meat including some tail meat; not all claw meat. You can add extra lobster meat if you so choose; I do sometimes, depending on my hunger. Either way you’ll always get a delicious roll.
A word about this place. The owner is always there whenever we come by. He’s attentive and runs a tight ship. He’s there to make sure things go smoothly and that everything is right. He’s watching his investment and reputation. He’s not leaving it to a bunch of 20-year old’s and a manager who have no vested interest. Well run place.
One complaint was the price of the ice cream or gelato as it’s called. It was like $5 or $6 for a small cup. Seems high to me but hey, it was good.

DRIVE THRU LOBSTER ROLL* & CORN AND CRAB CHOWDER*
What gem in NSB. We saw it coming in to our hotel on Flagler (Springhill Suites) and was curious because I saw Lobster Rolls and Chowders so for dinner we needed something we can pick up (2 year old and newborn) but definitely wanted restaurant quality so naturally pick up comes to mind but I noticed the drive thru and said why not.. pulled up to the window where John who was very helpful took our order.. he said 15-20 mins but it was less than 10 minutes.
Now to the food ..
Lobster Roll w/ Extra Meat Biting into the the Lobster Roll 1st you taste the butter roll toasted to perfection. The lobster meat was flavorful, juicy, and plenty (extra meat was worth it) the crisp lettuce tucked underneath was just the kick it needed. We all know what warmed butter does to it.
Now to the the highlight of the whole place.. the
Corn and Crab Chowder The flavors were beyond any chowder I've ever tasted, Savory chunks of crab meat and corn. Creamy cajun spices engulf the chowder and make it my personal favorite item I've tasted. I had to spread it over the Lobster roll
Overall Cafe Heavenly is not just recommended it's a must have when your in NSB.
Simply amazing and I...
