Casey's NSB — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

Went there to see what has become my favorite local band, "Undercover NSB". Of course it was a great time, as it always is with this band. The place is very small and has a great vibe. 'Pretty cool place to hang close up with a band. On the downside, I sat all night sort of dumbfounded by the lack of table service. By mid evening this place became absolutely packed, and getting a drink at the bar was just about impossible. I saw a number of people come in and hang out without even attempting buy a drink. Personally, it didn't bother me too much, I just sat and nursed my drinks, only drinking about half what I normally would, which I guess is OK too......I just kind of hate seeing a business leaving money on the table. I bet at the peak they could have at least doubled their income if they had some...

Cool little local joint. We walked over from our hotel and they had a great cover band rocking out anything from U2, Rage AM, Violent Femes. Band was The Click.

Only criticism is that all the bartenders were snotty. Walk by ya 10 times then after you finally get a beer in, one lady served like 4 other people before she brought my beer. She very much went out of her way to not bring me my beer after I stood there being walked past 10 times. I was as nice as I could be so not sure the unhappiness there. Cut em loose and find some nice, bubbly chicas to take drink orders. Cool...

For such a small building, it accommodates a lot of people. Simple setup and easy to get drinks, which were mixed very well. Live music was stellar, a friend took me to see the fella playing named Larry. Unfortunately his daughter, who sings with him during his act(amazing voice supposedly), wasn't there. Prices were low, drinks were strong, music was great, and it's location is perfect if you've been at New Smyrna Beach all day. They don't have a kitchen, but they do have a popcorn machine that you can munch on while...
