I moved here 2 years ago. A late friend suggested Ruthy's a year ago and I never got there until this morning...and boy, am I sorry I didn't go here sooner. There are one or two high end places in New Smyrna Beach (NSB) I've gone to for brunch, and they have been wonderful. But there are several places I've gone to in the NSB area and Ruthy's tops them all in every way. It's a larger place so I can't imagine having to wait 30 min for a table as I have at other places. The dining area, the tables and chairs, are all new and super clean. The wait staff were all quick, smiling, and very pleasant. And the food was fresh, tasty, good-sized portions, and the prices were far more reasonable than any other local place I've tried. I had a Western omelette, with hash browns, a side of bacon, and a small orange juice. The omelette was the best I've had. The hash browns were done perfectly, as was the bacon. Even the small OJ was a generous size. While I'm a single, older male, this place was good for singles, couples, or families. I can't rave about it enough. My new "go to" place for breakfast. Now, I've got to go back and try their...

Love love this place, one of my fave top 3 breakfast spots in Nsb!

It's reallyy busy and can have a line on the mornings but totally worth it. This is a small diner with big heart, love all the wait staff and chatting with them although they are always on the run!! It's an open diner Floorplan, busyyyyt and a little noisy but not so much you can't hear each other talking.

The food is delish. I love their hashbrown breakfast, and their gravy and biscuit half size meal. The prices are SO REASONABLE!! They also have an early bird breakfast 7-9 am that's under $3!

They are known for their blueberry lemon stuffed pancakes but those are REALLY SWEET, I'm not a fan! However there's so many choices that there's literally something for everyone.

Regardless of how swamped the staff is they always tell your choice, check on you, and the food comes out pretty fast. My order is never been wrong, I really love this place as my go to in Nsb!

Parking is super crowded, and the only hard part some days but I've always been able to find something.

Try this place out, it's...

As a local & someone who eats out regularly around NSB, Ruthy's has been a frequented dinner for breakfast & lunch. Normally a solid performing dinner.

Unfortunately on 09/23/22 our visit was very subpar. My wife ordered a Frisco salad which upon first delivery wasn't even a full bowl of lettuce & it was missing the bacon...a very poor presentation. Our waitress, Naomi R. didn't even notice this. She was busy elsewhere and I had to flag down another waitress to get it corrected.

I had a Tuna melt which was disappointing - toasted bread with a piece of cheese and some tuna spread in the middle... it did not appear grilled as is standard practice elsewhere. I mentioned this to our waitress and rather than wanting to investigate & see what was up in the kitchen she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. If I wanted to speak to the manager I would have asked for the manager. Very poor, take no ownership of the problem attitude.

Normally I liked Ruthy's, but I'm fearful they are on...

Our go to place for breakfast in new Smyrna Beach is Ruthies Kozy Kitchen. You will be quite surprised to find the atmosphere like one of your nostalgic diners that we so miss. The entire staff is very pleasant and are very eager to serve you. Some of the waitresses even run around the place as if they can’t serve you fast enough. We have been There several times And have always had an outstanding breakfast At a very fair price for the times that we are living in. You can get a two egg breakfast home fries and toast for 7.99. Today I had The combo which included French toast (3), two eggs and two sausage patties. And yes, the eggs came out the way I ordered them. Always over me for me.! Don’t forget the whole fries because they make them on site. I am including two pictures one of the breakfast I had and the other one is the waffle. Unfortunately, I was hungry and started eating it before I took the picture. Probably have been here more than 20 times now and I have never had a bad meal yet.

I have never eaten here before today. My husband recommended it to me. I missed the lunch rush and was able to get seated and waited on right away. The building looks little from the street view but is actually spacious and long once you get inside. The decorations are warm and sunny with lots of chickens and such. Bright red booths and white walls. Very clean and well kept. Daily lunch specials as well as the regular menu. My food was delicious! Loved the 80's music playing in the background. Audrey was my server and she is just a ball of sunshine with her smile and big blue eyes. Such a sweetheart. I normally can't stand bathrooms in restaurants but I must say the woman's restroom was by far one of the nicest, cleanest and best smelling I have ever been in! If you have never been to this restaurant I would encourage you to drop in and give it a try. Homemade food served with a smile.
