Baba shawarma — Restaurant in New York

Their food can be hit or miss. When they follow instructions (and don't dislike you) they can do a fine job. However, if you order something that requires them to cook raw meat, then they may under cook it (unless you request for them to cook the meat to be well done.)

In my experiences w/them there's some level of passive-aggressiveness. I've noticed that they've altered/lowered my food proportions on several orders. I suspect this happened because I provided feedback once, when they didn't prepare my food order correctly, despite the instructions being quite clear. So, the cooking staff begrudgingly remade my food. And have behaved stranglely towards me ever since.

From my perspective they are sensitive to criticism, and it leads to uncomfortable situations like this. I hate writing bad reviews, but I draw a line when someone makes my food incorrectly, and then treats me like crap because they couldn't handle my feedback. Despite the fact that I was gentle when explaining that my order was wrong (and due to me spending hundreds of dollars into their business.)

It's a sad thing to see. When you don't respect or appreciate people it comes back to you. God sees all, and will judge accordingly. I been a ongoing customer at Baba Shawarma and was in over the weekend and was told Kathleen the women who was working on the deli, sometimes register just making sure the store ran right was fired. Can't wrap my head around it. My order were correct when she was there, always kind to the customers and even came out of pocket to pay for a child's breakfast. The understanding she was let go for missing days of work while she was in remission from cancer only a 6 weeks but still came and did her job. You even worked on catering with her and she is the only one who would be putting it together plus multitasking taking orders and making sure that each person was recognized and that she would be apologetic since they were cut backs. Basically when you find the place that is lucky enough to have that's where you'll be going from now on. Sad when owners treat people expendable when she was supporting a family of 5...

I ordered from Uber on the overnight shift and it was atrocious. The order was hastily put together and sloppy. Not to mention just tasted wrong. When I called, the boy that answered decided not to bother - chuckled and hung up on me. This was the 2nd bad experience at that point.
