Food is pretty good, but this was my last order and they chose a strange hill to die on. I probably order 4/5 times a month. I'm usually pretty satisfied, until tonight just a sheer lack of awareness by the assistant manager. Here's the run down. I always try to order direct from store so they don't have to pay a 3rd larty A large pizza, 1 salad, 1 salad w/steak and 2L coke. $10 tip = $80 no problem.
So almost an hour later (totally understandable on a Sat night)
So my salad is missing its steak, but has a really generous sized piece of Salmon on it. I just don't do fish. I call back, the woman's says "my bad I'll send one out right away" ok problem solved. Until the delivery gets here with my "salad" 20 minutes later.
I come out to meet the driver, the bag looks small so I popped open to look. It's just a piece of steak. So a little confused I'm now on the street trying to take this fish off my salad, with all its warm fish juice soaking into the greens for the past hour. It flakes apart, it's wet and just wrong. So I just give the driver the entire untouched salad, salmon and steak and ask him to return it and I'll call.
I call back explain what happened and asked to refund just the salad. I get put on hold and then the assistant manager gets on the phone and wonders what the issue is.
So I explain that they just sent the steak, and that I assumed I'd be getting an entirely new salad. Since it's been soaking in fish juice this entire time and was sending it back. He then asks me "oh so you wanted a whole new salad?" I said yes. "When you called back did you ask for a new salad too?" I was taken back, it's not like I ordered it all ate it and tried to send it back. I was surprised I was getting any pushback here.
So I just say I'd like my money for the salad, thats it, the steak and the salmon are all untouched and with the driver. I'm told "I rectified the situation so I can't give you a refund." I asked how it was rectified and I was told "we sent you out the steak." Ok then.
So he says since he can't sell the steak or the salmon and the situation was "rectified" this word was used a comically amount of times explaining to me why this was an acceptable way to handle this.
I was offered a new salad or a 50% credit. So I asked,so my options are have a new salad 2 hours after my initial order or I lose %50 of my order. So I took the salad, and it will be my last from them.
I'm just left sort confused how any manager/owner would leave someone in charge who is arguing over $15 telling me my situation was rectified so he's not doing anything more. Ok man I get it.
If they offered me a credit I'd have said thanks so much and have ordered again next week and went about my night. Accidents happen but these were all very intentional choices by their management.
Oh and the best part. I took the replacement salad, and it arrived. 35 minutes later. The steak ICE cold, well 82°F. I checked, I use thermal cameras for work and happen to have it sitting in my...
Read moreI am not a fan of the food. We went here for the first time in the summer during regular hours and the place was closed. Nothing mentioned on their website. Came back again after Christmas. We had the Chicken Parmigiana and A Sauteed Chicken and Shrimp dish with pasta in a white creamy sauce(possibly with Brandy?). The creamy sauce was nice but the chicken was disgusting. It tasted like rubber and was way undercooked as if all they did was microwave a piece of chicken or sauteed it as if the wear cooking medium rare steak. There were a few pieces of shrimp-enough to count on one hand. The Chicken Parmigiana came with two flattened huge pieces that I thought would have been better to share in hindsight. Service here was non existent to say it was 6pm and there were only a few tables in this small restaurant. We opted to have a good night indoors and order some dessert to go. I got a nice dessert(not cheescake, not chocolate) but the portion was sooo tiny for the price. My friend ordered the carrot cake and that was such a huge slice for about the same price. When we hunted someone down for the bill there was an added charge that wasn't specified. Come to find out the automatically add a fee and this is charged if you paid by credit card. No one asked how we were paying or explained that they charge a fee to use a credit card, simply dumped it on the table and walked away.
Moving forward, my friend enjoyed the Chicken Parmigiana and wanted it again so I said let's share it and add some buffalo wings. The person who took the order didn't write down my address properly or seemed to concerned about my full address. So I received a call back in order to clarify it. We opted to The food arrived within 30min. The wings were frozen and breaded with little sauce and fake blue cheese. The Chicken was burnt around the edges but I used the extra Parmigiana sauce to cover it. The spaghetti was the .99¢ brand and have extra light tomato sauce on it so we had to add our own and reheat it. The bread that was served was placed in the same container that had a menu and receipt in it... Apparently cross contamination and cleanliness isn't apart or their menu so we opted not to eat that.
Would I recommend this place? No. Run.
P. S. Their paninis look like triple decker sandwiches and I saw the bartender make 4 alcoholic drinks that were sent back...
Read moreThis was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. I had reserved a table for a party of 5 people in the morning for 7pm. When we arrived, the table was not ready and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the table to be cleaned. After being seated we received no water, cutlery or napkins. We placed the order about 5 minutes after looking over the menu with the waitress. After waiting 30 minutes, we asked the waitress if we can get our waters and inquired about the food. The waitress informed us that the food "was being prepared" and should take another few minutes. We had noticed that the tables beside us, that were seated after us had already gotten their appetizers and entrees. About another 20 minutes pass by and we ask the waitress again about our food, once again she says "it's still being prepared." It is already 8:30 and we have yet to receive our food. After asking one last time, she apologized and said it was still being prepared once again and should be out. At this point we are sitting for almost an hour and half past our reservation time and have yet to receive ANY food. At this point we ask the waitress to void our order and bring the check so we can pay for the bread and waters and leave. It was at this very moment that they had brought out our COLD entrees. I am absolutely appalled at the audacity of this restaurant. To accept a reservation, not have the table prepared, have their customers wait patiently for almost 2 hours for their food, and have the nerve to serve it cold. Clearly we were forgotten about and only then when we insisted on leaving was the food brought out. This is absolutely no way to treat paying customers, let alone ones that have never been to this restaurant before and to leave this kind of first impression. I'm disgusted from the atrocious service and lack of respect from this restaurant and promise to never visit again or recommend...
