I had two firsts this past Saturday night at the Burrito Bar. After years there of good dining experiences, I had my first disappointing meal; the other first being that I reluctantly asked to have a meal sent back—the first time I have ever made such a request in over twenty years of dining out, anywhere, in any capacity.
And that brings us to the heart of this review. Calling the waitress over I almost apologetically told her that my steak burrito contained too much gristle. She adamantly replied that since I had eaten “half the burrito" she could not, and would not replace the dinner. Ummm, ok. So I then explained to her that I assumed a few pieces of inedible meat were an anomaly (as another person in my dining party who ordered the same thing had good meat throughout), and that from experience I would not give up on a meal after a few bites. To further my point, I halfheartedly presented my napkin with four ineatable pieces of steak that I had unsuccessfully chewed. (Honestly, who really wants to show someone chewed up food they had been forced to spit out!!) Approximating then, I consumed in one half of the burrito three pieces of meat that were digestible, and four pieces that were not. Inexplicably, I received nothing but a blank stare from the waitress, before she finally agreed to bring the manager to our table.
After four minutes the manager arrived, and it was as if he and the waitress had rehearsed their stories for three and a half of those four minutes, as his remarks were verbatim to hers no matter what my responses were. By their reasoning, after my first bite of burrito with a bad piece of meat i should have sent it back. Really? I presented my napkin of chewed up gristle to the manager and again I received a blank stare. NO EXAGGERATION, A BLANK STARE!!! FROM THE MANAGER. No apology. No offer to rectify the dinner.
It was quite a birthday dinner.

Read moreNice place, nice people. I was lucky enough to get a table here on cinco de mayo for my party of 4 without reservations. I called on the phone and spoke to an amazing hostess. They were so nice that they even texted me after my call to tell me I can get a table sooner . Either way I honored my 9 pm reservation. I like the use of space between the backyard for dining under a tent( wish it was heated though) and their side patio for more room to dance . They then had the main bar on first floor with bar seating and a few tables, this is where most of the dj action was . First I ate dinner with amazing guac, along with pork and steak burritos and crispy fresh fries on the side with cajun seasoning. The frozen margaritas with a shot on the side got me loopy fast, it tasted like heaven . Drinks took a while but food came not too long after, and it was nice that they always checked on us. I appreciate that this place doesn’t have credit card fee added to bill. And for party of 5 they at least tell you about 20 percent service charge upfront. After dinner we headed into the main bar for dancefloor ( apparently the second floor has similar scenario too, kinda felt like a wild house party). They played good mix of techno, 90s hits and dembow reggaeton with fun mexican decor and sombreros. Loved how the drinks are served fast and only range from 7-12 bucks. I tipped them generously for friendly service. I do want to take a star off for gross bathrooms indoors and nasty portapotties outdoors, for a nice looking establishment like this , their bathrooms are their downfall. I also don’t like how when my other friends came in to park their car they were stuck paying the cover charge for $20 meanwhile I wasn’t charged because i showed them my dinner reservations, Im annoyed since i told them my friends were on the way in for the same party. Regardless of these small hiccups I would come back here in a heartbeat...

My family and I were avid customers to burrito bar over the years, it wasn’t always like this. But as of late, even on a busy Friday night no one comes around to service us.
Recently, I came for karaoke night and a worker in a burrito bar shirt was busy singing the whole time. No one came around to take our order. We had to get up to order our drinks and our food. After 10 minutes of waiting I saw drinks at the bar and figured I should go up and ask if these are mine. The bartender said yes………. So you couldn’t walk from behind the bar to my table and drop off the drinks?? Yet the tip is included in the tab? The bartenders are literally on their phone the entire time yet can’t bring you your drinks? Getting up to order every time you want a refill is ridiculous. I might as well clock in and work there lol
8 dollars per taco is also ridiculous. Have not been back since which is unfortunate because I was at a point in time addicted to this place.
