BAGELS R US — Restaurant in New York

If I can give 0 stars I would. I had to work overnight so I didn’t leave this review them I left around 10-1030 last night but I have never been so disgusted by customer service in my life. I saw a customer that was being very nice and patient being antagonized by the guy that works in the deli. A customer walked in after the original customer and the worker took the other guy I had of the person that was patiently waiting online. Then when the customer approached him about it and said that he was first online the worker totally disregarded it. And then continue to antagonize him and came to the customer side of the counter and legitimately, was trying to fight the customer. I saw a bad customer service there before and that’s not the first time I saw them pick favoritism and skip people. But when you have a worker, trying to fight a customer in the store, there is no reason that the guy had to work there again to where I had to hold the guy back so that he didn’t hit the customer. I will never return to the store again, and not only that, but I will also make sure to tell all my friends that go with that situation that happened. I think it is safe to say that he antagonizing out the customer in front of the wrong customer. Let me start by saying I really enjoy this place. I’m a frequent customer. The overwhelming choice of flavored cream cheese is enough to get me in the door. They go the extra mile by have an amazing variety of fresh bagels, muffins, salads and sandwiches. Ordering some of the specialty items can run the price up. Now for the areas that can use improvement. The quality and quantity of food, spread and service varies. It truly depends on who’s working. Plus they seem to be inconsistent with their pricing. Again it depends on the employee working at the time. Keep an eye on them while preparing the order, on several occasions I made it all the way home only to realize they had gave me the wrong items. While the food prep areas appear to be cleaned regularly, I have on occasion had the misfortune to spot some creepy crawlers, yep nothing like picking up a load of Italian bread from the basket to find a roach riding along. Anyway that has only been a handful of times and they make great food. My last gripe is the coffee, if you are buying off peak expect cold stale coffee. I usually come to get bagels in the morning ! And night for a Philly cheese steak! I was charged for a roll 16.99! Next night I asked the guy! Why am I being charged like that? He started yelling at me. you asked for lettuce and tomato! I said I never asked for it! Ask the person who makes the sandwich! The guy was like I never put lettuce and tomato! The prices change! The price list is not correct! He told me if you don’t want the sandwich! Get out! This is the price! He also told me I am not a worker here. This place is my uncle’s so I can do whatever I want! I will definitely talk to the owner and tell him too! Check your prices before you get something. The roll Philly is 10.99 by the way ! He also eats in the back. Always on the phone!
