Foo was pretty good. I ordered their French Poodle cocktail. The flavor was very nice and smooth. I could actually taste the elderflower in it. Another good thing is that they didn’t leave ice cubes in there. The drink was nice a chill, and didn’t get diluted by the melted ice over time. For appetizer I ordered crab cake. It was pretty nice. It actually tasted fresh, the crab meat was fresh, sweet and flaky. The aioli was also very nice, and tasted like a heavier version of pesto. I ordered their fish and chips as my main course. The portion was huge. 4 big chunks of cod fish. The batter was so light and crispy, and the cod was so fresh, juicy and flaky. However, the crispy outside didn’t last too long. The fries were just ordinary. Towards the end, it felt kinda heavy when I was trying to finish my last piece of fish. The staff was nice, but sometimes it takes longer to be serviced. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant. Probably the best fish and chips I have had for a long time.

I have wanted to stop in for Sunday brunch since seeing people dine here with their dogs. It was not a particularly pleasant experience today. I arrived just after 9am with my dog. We were quickly seated, but that was all that was quick. I waited over 5 minutes for table water, I waited 10 minutes for my coffee ( people arriving AFTER I did got theirs), I waited 20 minutes for my food (was charged $2.50 for a tablespoon of onions on my hash browns-see picture), waited for the check (had to wave down the waitress for the electronic check), and lastly waited for the receipt of my meal. (I ended up just leaving the cash tip on the table and walking out!) It was such a beautiful day, so the waiting alone was not “the worst” thing I experienced, but the accompanying issues were enough to make me reconsider another visit! Lastly, I learned that this is not a dog friendly restaurant, it’s just one that let’s you bring your dog with you while you dine outside! (No water or even a Milkbone was offered!) PS: The food was okay, no real complaints...except the onions thing. I did tip at 20%. The waitress was pleasant enough...even if not an experienced or efficient server.

Biscuits served without butter or jelly? We visited this place around 11 am on a Friday morning for breakfast. We ordered two BDNYC breakfast specials. One was to have over medium eggs and the other order was to have the eggs fried hard. However when we received our orders both eggs were extremely soft with liquid yellow yolks. The order also was served with a biscuit, hash browns and your choice of meat. The hash browns tasted like the potatoes were broiled in water then fried. Now on to the biggest problem. I love a warm biscuit. This is why I ordered this meal. The biscuit was served without butter, jelly or anything. I don’t mind asking for condiments but Unfortunately we were unable to request the butter or jelly because after the waitress took our order she never returned to the table. So we sat there trying to grab someone’s attention to request butter but to no avail. Eventually we ate the dry biscuits. Very disappointing.

Family favorite when in the Big Apple. No waiting this Thanksgiving morn for breakfast. Enjoyed the Wild Mushroom 3 Egg Omelette and BDNYC Breakfast Special. Eggs cooked perfectly. My omelette was light on mushrooms and heavy on spinach. Prepared more like a crepe with the egg wrapped and stuffed with mushrooms & spinach and topped with pesto. Hash browns crispy outside (👍) but mushy on inside(👎). Biscuits have delicious sweet buttery flavor and are very dense (filling). Had to try the "classic" chocolate shake, which was more like weak chocolate milk. If it was prepared with ice cream, it had been whipped to the point of melting by the time it arrived. Liked that it came in a mason jar. If you love dogs, the ambiance makes up for the okay food.
