Best Deli & Grill — Restaurant in New York

I walk by this place everyday and stopped in one day to try the food because I was hungry and just got off the train. I was hesitant at first because I read the reviews and people complained about the food and service. I wanted to try for myself and see.

The place is clean and well organized. They also have plenty of menu items. I ordered the steak and cheese with pepper jack cheese and everything on it and a side of fries. The cook was attentive and friendly. The steak and cheese was probably the best that I have had since I moved back to NYC.. I just moved from Florida.

The fries were not as good though which is why I took away a star. I love French fries and they tasted like they were warmed up or something. I also bought some snacks and they had some healthy selections for snacks which is a plus.

The cashier was also friendly and also attentive.

Overall it was a good experience and I will probably be back. The location is the best. My only suggestion would be to elevate the...

This used to be a great deli, I believe they're under new ownership and a lot has changed within the last few months. I don't recognize the staff behind the counter anymore, they're not friendly like the old crew, the old grill man who was great got replaced by some kid who doesn't listen to instructions very well and can't cook nearly as good, they make the fries all mushad now instead of nice and crispy, the chicken seems to be lower quality than what they used to get, and if that wasn't bad enough, the prices also went up.

Edit: I'm changing the review from 2 stars to 4. I've come back here recently and the original grill man who I remembered was there again. I think he works mornings/afternoons, on days I've gone later in the evening, he's not there. Either way, he takes the time to make the food right and actually listens to instructions. He's an asset...

I’ve been purchasing from this deli for almost one year and today was my last day ever buying from them.

The guy at the register who wears a ski mask to attend customers is rude and inconsiderate.

He will charge you “fees” for previous purchases he claims didn’t go through when it clearly shows on my bank statement that it did.

Why would I try to get away from paying $6 when I pay over $20 almost 2-3x a week at your business.

And on top of that how dare you scream and be disrespectful to a woman!

I’ve spent hundreds if not thousands over the course of 8 months at your business to be disrespected.
