I've been ordering from this location since they opened in the neighborhood about a year ago. I even made an account on their website to place orders from. Some hiccups have occurred here and there. Such as a late a delivery or two and cold food on occasion. 1 time they had my order for about 2 hours before they even realized the order was placed as I had to call ask management about the order. But I dealt with it as the food is good and this is NY no place is really 100% great on delivery all the time.
Now the reason for the 1 star review I feel they have earned. I feel cheated and disrespected by the the staff over a Flan De La Casa that cost $4.50. Yes $4.50... I placed an order on 4/3/2 and I got the order everything was fine till I noticed the desert was missing while taking things out of the bag. I called to let them know what happened. You would think it's no big deal its only a Flan and they would just revise the my receipt.
The lady that answered the phone that for some reason now doesn't understand english and my Spanish is absolutely confusing her. Agreed to revise the bill as the bakeries were closed and they didn't have any is what she told in me in Spanish.
Fast forward about 5 days later I was about to order again and I look at my AMEX account and notice they still charged me the full amount. I call again same lady on the phone who at this point obviously lacks customer service skills and tells me. She called me to tell me that they didn't have any deserts why would I order it. which they certianly did not call me at any time, but ok that is fine just don't charge me for it.
She proceeds to tell there is nothing she can do and cannot refund me. I ask for her manager she tells me he or she is not there and that will tell me the same thing. I said thats fine let me just speak to them to solve this? I then ask her what her name is and she refuses proceeds to put me on hold and for about 2 mins before hanging up on me. At this point I'm obviously annoyed after getting hung up on. I call back and tell her listen I am customer on yours since you opened. I spend easily $50.00 per order all the time. I just need to know if you can reverse the $4.50 charge? She says I don't know what to tell you and hangs up again.
I let it go and call 9 Fold with my receipt number. 9 Fold process their online orders. They ask about the issue and they too call and can't get any help from her. They said they were told the manager would be there next day on Wednesday 4/9/20 and would call me with a resolution. Of course I didn't get a call back from either one.
I let it marinate till today and called back 9 Fold as to not look like I'm harassing the business. They called again and were told the same thing again the manager will be back in the restaurant on Wednesday 4/15/20.
I completely understand that we are in quarantine due to the pandemic, but I fully expect your staff to know how to use a cash register, use the 9 fold app or at minimum is able to make small business decisions such when to refund a customer for something they purchased or offer them a Agua De Tarmindo order something to make up the item you could not provide at the same time making me feel like I am crazy for not wanting to pay for something I didn't get.
I will no longer do business with you and Will be getting AMEX involved and that will likely cost you more than $4.50 in the longer run.

Next I had the chicken torta, it was ok, 3 out of 5 stars, it was ok, nothing memorable, it had a thin slice of chicken, the torta was underwhelming for $10 plus I ordered it through Uber eats and I practically paid $18 for it, so not worth it, I rather get the nachos. This spot isn’t the best, but for decent authentic Mexican food it will hit the spot and from what I’ve tried they seem to know what their doing. The second and last time ordering my order was two veggie tacos, rice/beans and a side of guacamole/chips. I called after an hour passed by to kindly check on my order and the owner of the restaurant picked up and said " Who do you think you are?
