Has potential. - Hip interior - inconsistent food. Tofu and chicken vermicelli flavorful sauce the first time. Bland the second time - pho decent, needs a bit more flavor/kick. It’s missing something. 6/10 - I ordered the pho with the ribs ($15 with tax) for pick up to go. Realized when I got home to eat that there’s no ribs. They asked me if I wanted to drive all the back to pick it up. No way lol why should I drive there and back for their mistake? I had to call twice to make sure they were actually coming. (First time they said they’ll call me back but never did hoping the problem would go away?) in the second call they also asked if I was sure the (giant) ribs weren’t in the bag. After some back and forth and 2 calls later, They did deliver the ribs. I hungrily waited half an hour as I watch my wife eat as they drove over lol. At least they came and correctly the wrong. Just wished they didnt forget it the first time as it was a big piece of meat. Also wished they didn’t try to make me come back to pick it up when it was their mistake. Decent place still with nice decor, just needs some work on consistency of the food and customer service. Drive to bayside and flushing for pho people!

This place has not been open for too long, they have a nice nitch in the neighborhood with Vietnamese cuisine. They have a nice assortment of soups, sandwiches and hot meals that are really flavorful. They can also adjust to different levels of spicy heat as well. The place is somber but not dark. You can see silhouettes from the outside. If you are driving, it will be easy to miss this place. They just added a happy hour from 4 to 8pm. The service is extremely friendly and during off hours, Joe tries to hone his skills at mixology drinks. I had a nice flavorful Manhattan and my guest had a spicy cucumber flavored. They can adjust the heat. I ordered the chicken curry noodle Pho (Cari Ga) and it was very good. It also has a good price point at $11.50. My friend got the chicken noodle and theybhave a bowl of extra bean curd and jalepeno slices. They constantly check in to make sure you are enjoying your meal. Whether its a cold winter day or a hot summer, you can be sure they have something for your appetite and also craft beers to quench your thirst as well

We were very happy with the food at Bia. We got the lollipop wing appetizer to start and i must say that the flavor was amazing and the chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and yet tender and moist on the inside. I recommend trying it as an appetizer! The ginger flavor pops and also has a nice little kick to it which we loved. We also ordered the beef pho and Bo Luc Lac. The Bo Luc Lac came out prefect in my opinion. I've had Bo Luc Lac at many different places and they usually don't get the flavor right and the meat is too chewy and overcooked but at BIA the flavor was on point and the meat wasn't overcooked. The Pho was also delicious. In my honest opinion the pho was slightly above average but yet still very good and enjoyable. One thing I feel is important to add is that we came in 10 minutes before they close and the staff didn't make us feel rushed and they didn't come off as bothered that we came in late like some other places do. Overall great experience, great food and friendly staff. I look forward to eating here again soon!

I recently paid my first visit here since I had a craving for pho during one cold and dreary evening. Due to COVID it was takeaway only. Looking around the place as I waited for my order I noticed that the areas were kept very clean and tidy, a good sign. The service was excellent - the very attentive and friendly young gentleman who acted as the host and counter person was excellent to deal with and is the main reason I rated Bia 4 stars instead of 3 . He was outstanding. I was going to rate it a 3 simply because of portion size, as another reviewer so duly noted. I ordered a large sliced beef pho, which had a broth that was deep and satisfying. However, the portion size was its real downfall. The amount of broth and noodles were fine. However, my large order only included 4 thin slices of beef, 1 sprig of basil (4 leaves), 2 jalapenos slices, and a palm-sized amount of fresh sprouts. I've ordered pho to go many times from around the country when traveling for work and this was, by far, the smallest portion of meat and toppings that I have ever received. I'd have to guess the other portions were easily 3-4x the size with the meat and at least 6-8X the size with basil and sprouts. Were it not for the amount of noodles served the serving size could easily be mistaken for a child's portion. In fact, I had to add in my own meatballs when at home to make a full meal out of the order. That was very disappointing. Keep the host, don't scrimp so hard on the portions (increase the price if you have to so people get an adult-sized order) and perhaps the next visit will warrant the...
