I'm not happy to say this but when I tried this spot in garden city I didn't fall in love with it. It was bold and seemed like it wanted to break away from Chipotle with it's own style. I figured you sometimes need to give a second chance. Realistically just another spot that feels like Chipotle. Although to their credit I'd say a bit more tastier, but the prices are ridiculous and everything comes at cost. This is before inflation people. Qdoba where they don't charge for queso and guac does it better for a better price. Stop overcharging! Chipotle (highly overrated still don't understand why), GaucShop (overly overpriced), and now DosTorros(😮💨) just are on the list of spots that just doesn't hit the spot. I'd like to say I do have hope. I saw they tried different marketing ideas to bring in customers either with the buy one burrito get one free and keto bowl deal. I think you should take inspiration from other places. For example Cactus Cafe in Port Washington, with their always huge delicious menu with multiple choices and deals/ $5 burritos after 10:00 pm. As well Hot Peppers in Springfield Blvd who also adapts their style from Chipotle but is far more tastier, flavorful, and has their own lunch special menu with prices reduced. If you just changed somethings around then I truly think you wouldn't belong on that list and would bring in more...
Read moreI’m a provider at the hospital down the block and like to get 10 entrees for some of my fellow coworkers once or twice a week, and placed a huge order today. The lady who works behind the counter is insufferable to deal with. She rolls her eyes at me over wanting pico de gallo and onions saying the onions are already in it. She is so rude in so many instances that I don’t think I ever want to come back to this place. Reading reviews I see that many people have an issue with her. Maybe a janitorial position where she doesn’t have to interact with customers is more suited for her hostile, rude and unwelcoming demeanor. Getting people all riled up when they’re giving you business over trivial things is one thing but for this to be the 15th time Ina row she is like this? That’s ridiculous. Many other healthcare workers nearby stopped going because they share my...
Read moreDisappointing Deal: False Advertising and Small Protein Portions I recently visited Guac Shop expecting to enjoy their advertised $6.99 burrito. To my dismay, I was informed that a school ID was required to qualify for this price. Nowhere in any promotional material online was this condition mentioned. All it stated was “Must Be Enrolled in Loyalty Rewards”. After showing them the advertisement and making a trip to go as it states “In Store Only” as well, they seem to rather lose a reoccurring customer. This is a deceptive practice especially being a consistent customer. Furthermore, the burrito I ordered was significantly smaller than anticipated, offering poor value for the...
