It's a bar that attracts the stereotype of Bushwick--electric/eccentric/hipster crowd with their beanies and round spectacles, boots, and punk-rock/metal attire. That's this place. I've walked by several times and it's the same thing--it doesn't change, which could be good or bad depending on where you fall in the description above. I went here Halloween weekend and it was cool, mellow vibe. We were hoping to hop over across the street for a slice of pizza, but didn't make it. From what I remember, they give you a decent amount of liquor. We only had shots that night so, I have no idea what the other drinks were like. It's less hipster than another bar I've been to in Bushwick (starts with a B off Jefferson and Broadway). Their hot pink neon sign "f**k off" is what most intrigues me about this place. It's not terrible, but it's also not a place where I would consider going to again. It's not the people or vibe, I think there wasn't anything memorable or appealing about it. It'll just be a bar I can say I went to, but would never go back to again, plenty of bars in NYC after all. This certainly isn't one that's...
Read moreIâve been here before but this time there was an extremely rude woman behind the bar. Although previous bartenders at this same bar have accepted my ID, she, for some reason did not because it was Italian and âweirdâ and I had to go all the way back home to get my passport. She also told my Arabic friend, who had a Canadian ID, to âshut upâ when he indicated that the date of birth was on the back of the ID. We definitely felt discriminated because we werenât American. There was even a sign that said âdear Europe, leave 1$ for every drink - xoxo Americaâ lol are they purposely trying to repel foreign customers? Because they definitely succeeded. Not very smart of them since theyâre located in a part of Ridgewood that is full of foreign residents.
Furthermore, the tables were very dirty and the bar smelled pretty bad. The bar was also full of signs trying to manipulate customers into giving the bartenders more tips and money, which they surely did not deserve. It was not a very welcoming environment at all and weâre...
Read morewent here for my 21st birthday two days ago, it's such a fun bar and the bartenders were out of this world kind! granted not much to compare to because it's only been a day since and i haven't been to many bars yet but i will be most definitley be coming back, frank gave me some lovely suggestions for how to drink alcohol safely and told me about two other cool nearby bars that we went to afterwards and the woman working i never caught the name of but she was so funny, immaculate vibes on her and the entire bar in general, honorable mentions to the wall of fake ids, yelp reviewer shame poster, man buns hanging on the wall, the amount of toilet paper rolls they have on the bathroom wall, and just how â¨PINK⨠the entire place was 10/10 bar across the board...
