Park is okay. They built a new soccer/event/hangout space in the middle of the park last year I believe. Apparently whoever planned the rebuild has never visited the park nor understands what's needed for the long term success of the build. The fence was constructed lower than the prior one; soccer balls go flying over every 5 minutes or so. The fence should have been constructed of a more solid material other than wire. It's completely torn up due to residents bending it to exit the playground, or bent up to create a chair. Also, benches should have been installed. The dog parks are in need of rebuilds, but politics and mismanagement have stalled that from happening for many years. Apparently there's full time people who maintain the park overall, but they're awfully lazy about it. Rather than maintaining trees they let them die, or get infested, then remove them, so the park will never be flush with nature to enjoy. The park works and does its thing, but as with everything managed by NYC; don't expect much.
