Brother’s Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in New York

So today was my first time going to this cafe , it’s very nicely detailed and it has great food . I ordered the breakfast combo and an oatmeal. I’ve read the reviews about orders getting mixed up and it being too overpriced , and a lot of other stuff. But for good food quality and good food service I think it’s a win. I didn’t get rude customer service if anything I got great customer service . The only thing I didn’t like was the wait , which was a good 15 minutes . But it was worth it because the food was delicious. People saying that the food is overpriced , I think you guys aren’t wording ur sentence correctly . It’s overpriced for the people in the community but it’s a decent price for what ur getting because we all know a good breakfast downtown costs $20 maybe or less here it’s only $10.95 . Also the lady that bought a lot of cupcakes , u can’t expect a LOCAL store to give u a discount just because your buying a lot of items . It’s LOCAL it’s not a big company like a supermarket . Local small businesses have to pay rent , electricity, refrigeration , maintenance, wages for the employees , merchandise , water , heating , air conditioner , phone bill, internet bill, taxes , insurance for the business , and the owner has to pay himself , customers never really know why prices aren’t priced the way they are because they never think about what a business owner has to pay. First off I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GRUBHUB and this review has no bearing on them. At 730am I placed a breakfast order to be delivered to my home to my door. I included a 20% tip which is more than most people probably give. 30 mins after placing my order the deliver man called me and told me to come outside. I told him I have 2 very small children who are sleeping (once again 730am) and I did not want to wake them up to dress them to fetch my own food otherwise I wouldn't have requested "Delivery". The man told me he is not coming to my door and to come outside. I called this establishment and the young lady that answered told me she would call the delivery man to advise him to come to my door. 5 minutes later my phone rings with the same young lady who tells me that the MANAGER said they can not deliver my food to my door. Okay, so forget that I'm a customer who was paying well and tipping well. Forget I told you I have 2 young children sleeping at 730am and forget you are in business to provide a service. So I had to cancel my order. If your business is afraid of a certain neighborhood then don't deliver to the neighborhood at all. Grubhub refunded my monies, thank you for your awesome service Grubhub as always and a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Wimpy's for delivering my breakfast to my door. The food was delicious thanks...

food is good but every time i’ve visited there’s been an issue. These are all MINOR issues that i’m sure can be improved on, I still recommend this bakery, but since it’s been every time i’ve visited I thought I should share to hopefully help.

1st time- given wrong sauces 2nd time- got charged extra twice for 2 different ingredients that already came with the wrap, plus extra for swapping the type of cheese (came out to over $15!), didn’t get a refund but got a pastry instead although i preffered a regular drip coffee to substitute (they didn’t want to give me a coffee for their mistake, but whatever no biggie) 3rd time- ordered pick up for a quesadilla because i have a short lunch break and they forgot the sour cream pico and salsa- went all the way back and they were out of the salsa. Would’ve been nice to be notified before.
