I went here on an early Friday afternoon with a buddy and we had a very positive experience. The current score of 3.9/5 doesn’t do the place justice. A lot of the low reviews are from when they first opened and everything has since improved.
First off, the service was great; they were friendly and helpful. I ordered the double classic burger deal which comes with a side and drink for $15.99. I chose the tater tots and got loaded wavy fries on the side. The burgers are well seasoned and the vegetables are fresh and crispy for the perfect contrast. The tater tots are some of the best I’ve had and the loaded fries are delicious. I couldn’t even come close to finishing everything but I’ll eat it later. I’ll come back and try the Bensonhurst Bomber next time.
*Updated review: I’ve been here 3 times now and recommended the place to a few friends. We all love it. Deserves way higher than 3.9. A 4.5 would be justified. The customer service is easily a 5.0; it seems like everyone that works there makes it priority. They just started putting foam hand sanitizer dispensers on the tables, which is a nice touch. I got the Bensonhurst Bomber and it was solid as expected. They give you dipping sauces at no...
Read moreI recently tried Butcher’s Burger, and while I had high hopes based on the hype, I found the experience to be average. The restaurant has a modern, rustic feel with a laid-back vibe, which I enjoyed. The service was friendly and efficient, so there were no complaints on that end.
Starting with the burger, it was cooked well and seasoned decently, but it didn’t have that unique or memorable flavor I was hoping for. The toppings were fresh, but they were fairly standard and didn’t really elevate the burger. The bun was soft but didn’t hold up well throughout the meal, which made the burger a bit messy by the end. The fries were crispy and seasoned alright, though they weren’t anything out of the ordinary either—just a standard side with nothing that stood out.
Overall, Butcher’s Burger is a decent spot if you’re in the mood for a quick bite, but it doesn’t bring anything particularly unique or special to the table. It’s an okay choice, but if you’re looking for something to really impress or surprise your taste buds, you might want to...
Read moreSeating is very limited, and in an age where NYC will allow restaurants to build these enclosures for a bump in taxes I hear, I can't imagine why the Romeo guys don't enclose the outdoor area. The burgers are tasty and great quality. The "hand cut" chicken nuggets have little if anything separating them from McDonald's, which I can't understand, knowing how great the meat at Romeo bros. is. The menu is large and maybe so large it's slowing down the kitchen but I also can't imagine a burger of this quality taking much less then 20 minutes to be fair. I'm likely to try other stuff there but probably sit in my car if I do. Hopefully it will not be disappointing like the nuggets. Really nice staff, reasonable prices, and a delicious burger will get me back there, and of course knowing it's supplied by my favorite butcher shop sans the nuggets lol, id guess they are frozen processed stuff and would certainly never order them again. Regretfully giving the experience 3 stars,...
