This was my very first time here and it was the worst experience ever🤬! They don't have to worry about me patronizing this place & I will advise my friends not to as well. Not only did they jack up my order, they were non-chalant on making the correction and giving me compensation for my having to walk 25 minutes to return it, and then walk another 25 minutes back home, because of there 🖕🏾up. They outright refused to compensate me. They offered me a stale slice of cake. THE ABSOLUTE NERVE of her🤬!! Another thing that PISSED ME to the max is her refusal to get the manager, when I asked to speak to him/her. She took it upon herself to collaborate with her co-workers, and they had me sitting there for 17 minutes waiting for a dry "chuleta" They didn't even offer me a cup of tea, soda, aqua. NADA!!! IT WAS YOUR MISTAKE, NOT MINE!! It's too bad the Len Fong's Chinese restaurant that was there for decades left & these chumps took over with their brand of food 🤢🤮. I enjoyed Len Fong's customer service, amazing food & staff. I never had a problem there, but then again, we were talking 2 decades ago, when restaurants prided themselves with great staff & excellent food. Clearly, those days are gone 4ever.
Look... Good Dominican Restaurants are a dime a dozen in Washington Heights. Choose one other than Caridad. I heard there's a better one, just a few doors down. I wish I knew about, b4 setting foot in this place 🤮 !

Read moreHorrible experience, a simple order of 2 chickens should not take 2 hours and 30 mins. I called and kept getting put on hold and was told the supervisor was not around. When i wanted go and pick it up, i ended up getting attitude from their staff and was told i would have to wait 15 more min for a fresh batch and still i asked to speak with their supervisor and they told me he was not in today. When i called again and asked them if they would still deliver, they told me i would have to wait 20 more minutes. At this point i told them i would wait but i refuse to pay for the food since it has been more than 2 hours and told me they would have to ask management (which at this point was a lie since she told me they were not in). I told the lady working that night it is absurd they treat their customers like this and it shouldnt matter how small the order is, they should have more professionalism when dealing with people and should have honored my request as far as not to pay for an order that i waited hours to receive. To make matters worst she told me over the phone she does not care what i think and that she does not need to disclose to me whether or not the manager or supervisor are in and that losing one customer is not a big deal to them. Please do not support locations like this because they lack empathy and understanding of how to treat customers. Terrible customer service and it seems their staff lacks care and have no clue of how mediocre their business...

I ordered two lunch special 1/4 chicken meals which the menu clearly states come with rice and beans. I asked to substitute extra beans in lieu of rice and how much extra this would be—not even for an extra cost would they allow this.
I was given three different rice options and when the order arrived they had not included the sides of Spanish-style soupy beans the meal includes. When I called back I was told that because of the type of rice I chose, the meal then did not come with beans which was in no way made clear when I placed my order nor on the menu.
To get the beans I was charged $2.50 extra per side—so, an extra $5.00 and on top of that while I ordered the lunch special (during lunch time) I was charged dinner pricing.
Also: 1/4 chicken…more like 1/10th of a chicken and dry as a bone. There was just nothing good about this meal or the experience ordering here. The delivery took forever—one of the drinks and condiments missing—just a total disappointing hassle.
Essentially, once they made me pay extra if I wanted to receive the two sides of beans which absolutely should have been included, for those along with laughably tiny dry chicken, two things of peas and rice and a bottle of water I spent $30 and change. Not even a napkin thrown in the bag. No condiments that I requested. Definitely never again....
