Carvel — Restaurant in New York

I went in today around 4 P.M., there was a girl there who had a thick Hispanic accent and very fake brows, she's extremely nasty. She treats you like you're inconveniencing her, and even when you say your order to her, she acts like she doesn't understand. I walked in, no greeting no eye contact, there was a customer there just standing so I waited so as to not be rude. This girl was talking or scrolling on her phone, not seeming to give 2 damns that I was there. I finally asked the customer "What are we waiting for" and she pointed to the worker and shrugged her shoulders. Finally, I asked "im sorry, can I order?" she said "What are you going to order?" in a nasty voice. After telling her she practically yells "Anything else?" while IM giving her a chance and being patient with her so as not to rush her. I thought this was supposed to be a happy place because who doesnt love icecream?! There is no real customer service oriented person who works here. They're all kids, who'd rather be on their phones or with their damn ear plugged with airpods than to even dare engage with or smile at customers. There are policies set in place which after an interaction today, not all employees seem to know about. The only reason I gave 2 stars is for the ice cream, which does at time taste spoiled. (Check your soft serve pistachio) I have to come here because its convenient and local, but id rather walk the extra 3 blocks and go to Baskin...

Very dissapointed. I Have been coming here for years and always loved the service, but unfortunately they are under new management and aren't as customer friendly as they once were. My family and I went for ice cream sundaes and were turned away 20 minutes before closing. The store employee said they turn off their machines because they are closing soon. Really!? With 20 full minutes left for business you feel it's ok to turn customers away!? As I was there explaning to my crying children why they couldn't have ice cream I witnessed them turn away 6 more customers. SIX!! I understand the machines/store have to be cleaned but isn't that supposed to be done after business hours!?? Safe to say we won't be back. We took our business to the Carvel's on Myrtle Ave where the owner happily served my family with only 5 minutes left for business, in fact he even helped me back to my car with all my sundaes! If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Staff is unprofessional. I was standing in line waiting to place my order. The girl working was making milkshakes. She wasn’t listening to the customer who was asking her if she remembered adding something to one of the milkshakes. She ignored her. Maybe it’s because she had an AirPod in or something. She caught a really nasty attitude when asked again and blamed the customer. Then proceeded to give said customer a cup overflowing and told the customer make sure you clean it up. I was shocked as the customer wasn’t the one who was serving the cup. I’ve worked in customer service before and the way she was acting and treating people was so unprofessional and unacceptable. If she doesn’t want to work here then she shouldn’t. Maybe she should go out and touch some grass because it’s just ice cream, she was acting like she was...
