The service was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend. Upon eating at this restaurant with a friend, I found 2 pieces of hair in my food (I’d ordered the Senegalese Dibi Chicken). I asked the server to replace my meal, she got who I presume to be the restaurant owner from the back. He came to my table and accused me of lying about the hair, wagged his finger our in faces and proceeded to scream and shout saying “You people always do this. You people don’t want to pay so you do this.” I replied saying I had no problem paying for the food I would not however pay for food that I found two hairs in while I was eating. As I stood, he pushed me back down into my seat and locked the front door saying I would not leave the restaurant until I had paid. I proceeded to call the police who took about 25-30 minutes to arrive. After holding is in the store for 20 minutes, one of his servers unlocked the door and 5 minutes later, I received a phone call back because the police had arrived. We explained the dispute to the officers and the officers explained to the owner that he is under no circumstances allowed to lock patrons in his store. Nothing further could be done since he hadn’t harmed us or brandished a weapon. Stay. Away.

Walking in, the decor is simple, but also cozy and homey. The people who work there are always helpful and smiling. You can either dine in or take food to go it’s up to you. Now I want to say I only come here for one thing......The Dibi (seasoned lamb from the country Senegal). I normally get the Dibi and white rice and it. Is. ELITE. The portion is Great and I easily can break it up into two meals! The flavors are all there and you really can tell that the chef always puts love in the food. I took my brother and his friends here tonight and they all absolutely loved it! Sidenote I’ve done takeout orders of Dibi from here Until I come again ‼️♥️ which I will be.

Dibi lamb was so tender and had a delicious sweet grilled flavor. The flavors of the yassa fish went perfectly together with the sweet acidity of the lemony mustard and mild pepper. The onions in both were perfectly cooked and could be eaten alone with some rice. The jollof was a little too oily but the onion peppers and tomato were perfect to soak it up. More than impressed with my first order and I definitely will be ordering again

This was my first time patronizing this establishment. I was in the mood to try some West African food and I ventured to this restaurant based on the Google reviews. Well let me tell you, this is the best West African food I have had thus far. I had the Dibi lamb and Brown Jollof rice. I also ordered the Bourakhe. So delicious! The only thing I didn't like was the 35-40 minutes I had to wait to get my food. But I guess that is sort of a good thing because the orders would not stop coming in and the line kept going. I see why! Next time I know to order my food in advance like other people because I will certainly be back! And the young lady taking the orders and packing the food was very professional and organized, even with a lot of orders coming in. The prices run about $15 per meal. Very affordable for what you get! The restaurant itself is small and dark. There was one couple dining in and another man who dined alone. I would never sit in the restaurant to eat just because the ambiance is not my cup of tea. But they are a sure win for takeout. The restaurant was pretty clean from what I could tell, with the exception of some flies flying around the cashier area. I know that is to be expected in restaurants, especially in the summer, but hopefully they can get a handle on that. All in all I was pretty satisfied and I can't wait to try...

Edited: I have to edit my first review after ordering from this place many times. Yes, the food is amazing but the service is HORRIBLE!!! I always would call to order my food and the man who answers the phone says that he is the manager. He is extremely unprofessional, repeatedly tells me to hold on and hangs up before I can even finish my order. I'd have to call him BACK to tell him this and he's always apologetic and doesn't even understand the basic concept of an apology, which is followed by changed behavior, yet his behavior is very unprofessionally repetitive. This final time, I placed an order and received not one but TWO wrong orders and was told that I'd have to "give the food back for bookkeeping purposes" if I wanted a refund or what I originally ordered. HOW UNSANITARY!!! Then the truth came out when I told him this and he says the money would come out of his pockets. So customers mean nothing, customer service means nothing, your job means nothing, and essentially, you mean nothing to yourself. I'm sure he would not have treated his fellow African customers whom he can speak his native language with as such, being that I am not only a Black woman but a Black American woman who had to correct him and he let...
