On 10-I9-24 I placed an order on the Chick Fi La App for $12.19 .Shortly after I received a notification stating there was an issue with my payment method and the message on the app advised me to speak with a team member at the Marble Hill location. I went to the Marble Hill Location and advised a team member at the register that I made an order however the app is stating there is an issue with my order. The team member stating he will consult with his supervisor/manager. He stepped to the back to speak with his manager or supervisor and he advised me to place a new order. So I placed a new order with the team member, paid and received my order. When I arrived home I noticed that Chick Fi La charged me for the order I initially placed on app even though I never picked up the order. So on Monday I went to the store in the morning and advised I was charged twice and they advised me to reach out to customer service by phone. I called and the representative advised me that someone at the a Marble Hill location will follow up with me A Lead named Samantha did follow up with me and advised me to send a copy of my bank statement showing I was charged .I was frustrated but I did what she asked to get my refund. Then she follows up with an email advising me that the owner will give me a refund in a few days. However she stated “it’s not their responsibility for any issues with the app and next time reach out to team member first instead” ( which was the first thing I did) Almost 2 months later I never received a refund. It’s poor customer service and lack of accountability ,to inform a customer that was charged for an order they never picked up at their restaurant that it’s not their responsibility.I placed the order through the official Chick Fi La app so whose responsibility is it, if an error occurs or a customers needs a refund? He was craving it very much because he has been away from home for deployment, we waited about 25 minutes for our food which was too long of a wait if I’m being honest but I do understand since there’s no other location near by. Our plan was to stay and eat but we had waited too long already, also I sat and watched as the employees had gone up to people to ask them if they were going to throw out their trash, again I do understand, but it can also be said kinder and maybe with a smile. We did take a Uber home just to find out that his chicken sandwich & waffle fries weren’t in the bag. Honestly a disappointment but we didn’t go back because I live up Fordham.
