I decided to stop by the Greenpoint location since I was in the area, and for sure I will never return to this location. I order from the Astoria location multiple times a week, so I know exactly what I like and the service is always amazing and warm. When I went to order, the girl with dark hair and I believe a septum piercing had the worst attitude. She was rude and she literally made me and my husband wait for over 20 minutes. I know this for a fact because there were guests that came in and ordered while we were sitting there waiting for our order, and they were getting their orders in less than 5 minutes. As I said before, I frequent the Astoria location weekly and I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes for multiple sandwiches. To add to that, I have proof because our order # was 39 and she was calling out, 38, (skipped 39), 40, 41, 42, 43. That’s when my husband went to cancel the order and simply said that making us wait was wrong and that he would like to cancel our order. She gave him attitude and then said she would cancel the order and refund us. When he said thank you, just know that’s not nice and she sarcastically mocked him by saying “what’s not nice? Me giving you a refund?” as she rolled her eyes. Also when I had paid I had the option to redeem $5 dollars due to me having so many points for being a loyal customer, which now I will not get back so technically I am losing money, and I’m not even sure I will get my refund period. Lastly, she clearly tipped herself when after I pair because my account was charged $21.23 and the “refund” was $15.79, which I am adding a picture of both the “refund” and also what my account was charged. Both have time stamps. I would please like a resolution to this because this is not right and I don’t appreciate being treated unfairly and taken advantage of when I am, and will continue to be a loyal customer (just not this location).
Btw, I just did the math as to why I was charged $21.23 and it’s because she tipped herself 25%! That is wrong and I would like someone to contact me back...
Read moreThis was pretty upsetting. We ordered chicken vodka parm heroes and were very excited as we love vodka sauce and of course chicken parm. This was late in the evening but it was still a couple of hours before they’d close. The hero was hot yet the chicken was so overcooked and chewy and had to have been reheated, possibly more than once that night as well. I ended up throwing out my other half. The boyfriend finished his and was sick to his stomach the rest of the night.
I was so shocked and this was his first experience so he was disappointed and has crossed them off his list. I had such a great experience in the Astoria location, I couldn’t believe how bad this was. After looking at some of the other reviews, it seems it’s pretty spotty and they’re experiencing some inconsistence at this location. I hope they get it worked out, the Astoria shop really was great, this...
Read more5 stars is not just how I feel, but it’s necessary. I’ve been going to comptons since there was 1 location in Astoria and I’m glad it’s been able to expand while retaining quality across all location.
I’m always met with a smile by staff at every location. They also are very informative when I can’t decide what to get. The only con I would say about going to comptons is never knowing what to order because all of it looks so good. That being said, you can’t go wrong with a breakfast sandwich. ( New Yorker with a hash brown is my favorite)
I’m more than happy to call comptons a regular spot for me whether it’s in Astoria or Greenpoint. Now others can experience them with new locations coming to Syosset and...
