El Buen Gusto — Restaurant in New York

I have been to this restaurant numerous times before. I live all the way out in Long island and whenever I come to sunset park I go here to eat food. Well today my experience was horrendous. We waited long time for our food. A party of two go their food before us. I came in with my wife two sons and my sister. We felt uncomfortable from the moment we got there. I had to ask the server numerous times for drinks she gave us the wrong drinks at first second my wifes grilled fish was way 2 salty. They changed it for fried shrimp. Everyone in my family when we got home felt stomach pains and I actually threw up like we got some kind of stomach Virus. I normally never complain but for my whole family to feel like they wanna vomit and my son to take pepto bismol theres an issue here. The service was horrible and the fact we got sick also will make me never want to go there again. I took my Goddaughter for her birthday with my sister and we ate and everything was fine however today was honestly a real off day and a waste of 70...

Spanish people read under English ⬇️ Hello there I know you guys want a honest review, here it is 1) I would like to start with great food depending on the chef and your server/waitress paying attention to detail. 2)young lady working there great server/waitress she pays attention to detail other two older women ( what I got to say about them nothing great let’s leave it at that I’ll show pictures better.) 3) reason why I’m leaving this bad review is because of these two ladies they was more gossiping then attending to the people in the restaurant, I sat at the table for 20-30 mins without being acknowledged by this women I had to get up from my seat to ask for service. As far as paying attention to detail, the sever/waitress I told her shrimp with garlic sauce and the sauce they use on the shrimp I would like it poured on the fried plantains, pictures will show what I got. ( a bowl full of oil,no sauce I was dipping my fried plantains in oil smh) I was so hype to bring family and friends here but I see depending on the chef and waitress, I need to make shore the good ones are there because they all don’t attend customers the same and pay attention to detail the same I will show thru here the difference. Spanish⬇️ Hola, sé que ustedes quieren una reseña honesta, aquí está 1) Me gustaría comenzar con buena comida, dependiendo del chef y de su camarero/camarera que preste atención a los detalles. 2) señorita que trabaja allí, gran camarero/camarera, presta atención a los detalles, otras dos mujeres mayores (lo que tengo que decir sobre ellas, nada genial, dejémoslo así, mostraré las fotos mejor.) 3) La razón por la que estoy dejando esta mala crítica es porque estas dos damas estaban más cotilleando que atendiendo a la gente en el restaurante, me senté en la mesa durante 20-30 Minutos sin ser reconocido por esta mujer, tuve que levantarme de mi asiento para pedir servicio. En cuanto a prestar atención a los detalles, la camarera/camarera le dije camarones con salsa de ajo y la salsa que usan en los camarones me gustaría que se viertiera sobre los plátanos fritos, las fotos mostrarán lo que tengo. (un tazón lleno de aceite, sin salsa, estaba mojando mis plátanos fritos en aceite smh) Estaba tan emocionado de traer a la familia y los amigos aquí, pero veo que dependiendo del chef y la camarera, necesito hacer que los buenos estén allí porque todos no atienden a los clientes de la misma manera y prestan atención a los detalles de la misma manera que yo Mostrará aquí la diferencia. BEWARE OF YOUR CHANGE! I WAS SPECIFICALLY TOLD THAT THEY ROUND UP!

It happened once where I didn't receive my coins. I thought it was a one off occurence and since It was less than a quarter didn't mind.

Next visit, I took a second to notice I didn't receive my coins and addressed it- the response was "OH, WE USUALLY JUST ROUND UP". When receiving my "correct" change I was then shorted a dollar! I told her that she shorted me and finally received my actual change.

IF you'll charge patrons change and expect them to pay it, then the establishment should give out the right tender NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT IS!
