I'm going to give my point of view and my son's point of view!
My son's review: "It was fun, the trampoline was fun. I wish we could have done flips. I didn't like the food, but the blue slushies were really good. That's it!"
Now my review:
Upon arriving I was excited because it wasn't packed. No long lines for anything. Love that! The initial two first young ladies were very helpful. Once inside my son and his friend instantly went towards the trampoline. That was cool. I didn't know they couldn't do flips (I get it safety issues), but if they know how they should have a section for those kids/teens.
Now onto the climbing area. The young lady that was in charge of that area looked miserable. Working with kids you should definitely have some type of friendly energy, even if having a crappy day. Once hooked up my son and his friend started to go to each part of the area. We had to get the young ladies attention everytime the kids wanted to go to another area she was too busy on her phone. She paid no attention to the children in her area.
The bumper car area was just a mess. Another employee on the phone. No instruction to the kids. My son was basically stuck in the corner the entire time just flipping in the car. She just sat there and texted. When we said something she said, "he gotta just move the car" we understood that, but how could he when it was STUCK in the corner.
The battle area in the back the worker standing there DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! She allowed at least 6 kids to play in there whole two other kids tried to battle. So dangerous! When there is suppose to be two children playing on the beam and if one fell there shouldn't be anyone in the pit. I had to literally say something to her and for nothing because she seemed scared to get the children who should not be in the pit out. So I said something. Not in a rude way just relayed the dangers of how they could get hurt.
The slide was just okay...
The ninja ball pit was a lot of fun for the kids. However, they allowed people to linger where people fall. There should be a separate ball pit for kids to just chill and not get hurt!
The cafeteria had a lot of options just pricey. (Bring your own or wait) Had to wipe down my own table!
The tube's from what I saw looked fun and he did a great job supervising the kids.
The VR section was a mess. The worker had two people visiting him and he was preoccupied talking to them and when the kids went over he just put it on them and chose the game for them and let them go in the area without watching them. At this point I should work there because I had to make sure none of my kids got hurt.
The dodge ball area was okay. It was irritating seeing adults just sit down while the kids were trying to play and had an attitude when the kids would almost bump onto them.
And finally the the arcade and massage chairs are the WORST, nothing worked. It wouldn't take the cards or take the cash. The two things that did take my card ended up just taking my money. Spoke to the person who handles it in a blue shirt and wore a mask was the rudest employee there. She refused to help and gave us a story about it will go back to your card because it didn't work. That's not how refunds work. I was over it and decided that would be my first and last time at Urban air!!!
Employees should not be on their phones and should definitely pay attention to what...
Read moreWe had a bad experience and witnessed a horrible one there. We went there for my son’s friend’s birthday party. There’s a big bouncing area where they have the square bouncing fields. Only 2-3 staffs were there and if all kids bounce together, it’s very easy to fall and step on each other. My kid ran into another kid and my kid fell first, the other kid fell on him and knelt on his face/jaw. He was in pain and said he felt his jaw was disconnected. I asked the staff to give us an icepack to reduce the pain and swelling. While I was taking care of my son, worrying if his jaw joint was okay, should we go to ER etc., I heard someone howling painfully. In the same bouncing area, in the corner, a bigger kid’s leg was broken. Broken in the way that you could see the bone sticking out of his calf! The Mom couldn’t walk straight when she rushed over to her kid. Well my kid was well compared to this so he continued to play with his friends after a while. And then, he lost his glasses in the ballpit area. His friends, myself, and his friend’s parent all helped retrieving his glasses in the ballpit but couldn’t find it. The only staff there just watched us. After I spoke to her and asked what could they do, she said if you couldn’t find it then go to the front desk for help. I went to the front desk, they kind of showed a face after I said the kid lost his glasses and casually printed out a RECEIPT and gave me a MARKER to write my contact information, without even asking where did we lost it. At that moment I knew they were not treating it seriously. I tried my best to fit my info on the tiny receipt with the marker pen, tho I felt like it would be thrown away before their business was closed that day. The balls in the ballpit were dirty, I guess they don’t wash them. Thus they are not taking the balls out and be able to find the glasses or anyvother lost items at the bottom. I’m not sure if there’s any technology to help retrieving items in the ballpit and how much it costs the business, but at least try to show you care. If anything sharp is there, it’s also not safe for kids to play there. I will never return to this place due to the staff’s attitude. I will not take my child to a trampoline place anymore due to the general safety concerns of such places. Trampoline was first only used by gymnasts, which requires training and safety education and even professional coaches by the side. Nowadays in these places, it’s so unregulated and the staffs are not competent enough to...
Read moreThis review is for a birthday party I hosted in the facility. TLDR version is this facility false advertises their "glow party" experience as a glow in the dark party with black lights, glow in the dark activities etc- they don't actually have any of this. A glow party is them turning off a couple of overhead lights. That's it. That is all they do differently from any other day or night. They say they "replace" their usual lights with blacklights and turn on lasers and strobes- their version of lasers and strobes are always on and running. Our party room was brighter than daylight- their pictures on the website clearly show a glow in the dark experience. Their management was totally indifferent to the blatant false advertising as well and offered me a coupon for next time for the trouble. Outside of this massive oversight, the party itself was so poorly run and stressful. The room was not set up how was agreed and confirmed, and subsequently we were still setting up during the start of our party. Our room was barely air conditioned at the end of June and they made no attempt to fix it, just told us "yeah, it's been like that for weeks." We suggested they open the room divider to cool it down, but we were told they don't open- I later found out they lied about that too. They just could not be bothered to do anything but the least. There was no one to tell our guests where to go when they entered the facility- they make the host stay in the room with you instead of where people actually enter. Why not have a sign up then? They had to wait in line, even though they were checked in, just for someone to tell them the room. The staff suggested I text all of our guests (35 different adults) to tell them where we were. Why do I have to do the work when I am paying for a party host? Our room was far too small for the amount of people we had as well, even though I confirmed with the party planner in advance how many people we would have and that they were eating a meal, which they charged me $200 to bring in. My party wound up spread out all over the venue- the entire experience was uncomfortable, expensive, and not at all what we were told it would be. I am a professional event planner for a living, by the way. If this was my experience, what do you think your experience will be? Check my pics below- look at the pic on the advertisement of the party room and look what we got (blocked my son's face...
