I’ve been chasing a Peruvian food dream ever since I ate at Sardi’s in the DMV. I’ve yet to capture it. With that said, the food here was satisfactory. I have no complaints, but no rave reviews either. The highlight would be the pleasant staff and their fried rice which to me is better than the fried rice I get from the Chinese restaurant—lots of green onion and scrambled egg. I ordered qtr leg with fries and fried rice and an Inca Gold soda. The fries were nice and hot as was everything on my plate. I received two sauces on the side—white and green—in hindsight, I would’ve preferred two spicy green sauces. I didn’t care for the white sauce which tasted like watery mayonnaise. Some more flavorful sauce(s) to jazz up fries and rice would’ve made my meal slightly more enjoyable. The price point was slightly higher than I cared for: $26 (15% tip was already added to bill). If I’d got same food & drink (including tip) for $20 that would’ve felt like great value and upped my rating to 4 stars. I’m not sure I’ll return, but I wouldn’t discourage anyone from attending either. In all honesty, I may go back to get a fried rice to go and eat it home with a supermarket whole rotisserie chicken (with hot sauce)! [Note: The peanuts you’re given before your meal aren’t peanuts. They’re Peruvian corn nuts, called Cancha, which is a staple snack set out on tables in Peruvian restaurants in lieu of a bread basket. This was my first time eating these. It’s probably an acquired taste. For me, eating them was a confusing experience because I kept thinking peanuts but each taste was not peanuts.]

Lots of food per serving!! The egg in the Arroz chaufa de pollo was so fluffy and delicious. And the Platano Maduro seemed to be fresh out of the pan when we got it and also so good 😋. Definitely will order from here again!!

This review is solely based on my delivery order. Yesterday I ordered $89 worth of food delivery and was so disappointed. I had ordered the chicken Ala brasa and rice, instead they sent me plain white rice, that looked Pink and it wasn't fried at all. We also order the seafood fried Chaufa rice and the seafood was so hard and gummy we couldn't eat it. I order from here alot and really do like their food, but I don't understand what happened yesterday, maybe different cook? There has been another time I went to pick up my food and notice they had gave me plain white rice instead of the chaufa fried rice with my chicken combo and I mentioned it to the young lady at the counter, she told me that's what I ordered With my chicken. When you order the combo it only states rice. Why would I order plain white rice with chicken combo? Previously before that time, I had ordered the chicken combo and they gave it to me with the chaufa fried rice, very delicious I must add. She didn't say much when i told her that, so she just took my rice back and they gave me fried chaufa rice. So, they are not consistent with the fried rice, although it doesn't state that the chicken comes with white rice, it saids rice or fries. I don't see why anyone would want to eat the chicken with plain dry white rice oppose to their delicious fried chaufa rice. Please fix, if you're given the customer a choice to choose between rice or fries, be specific which kind of rice, chaufa fried rice, plain white rice or french fries. I do like their food when Ithey get it right. The service is also great, the owner and her staff are...

I ordered thru Uber Eats since I read the reviews of the food and they were great. At 5:38 pm my order was placed, at 6:40 I called the restaurant and asked how come the order was taking long, the woman who answered stated they ran out of chicken and were making more so I can have it fresh and it'll take 10 more minutes. I called back at 7 pm and no one answered so I called a few more times and no one answered. I called the courier to find out what was going on and told him I've placed my order since 5:38 pm, he explained the food isn't ready, they heard the phone ring didn't answer and when he asked for my order everyone went to the back. I got my food at 7:30 pm from this restaurant, I ordered fried rice with half a chicken and I got white rice, I ordered a large soup and got a small one. I'm never ordering from this place again not only the service was poor, so was the food. I put 2 or 3 stars on the food cause my daughter liked the soup. They said it was with noodles it had penne pasts in it not noodles. ...
