Yummy Machi — Restaurant in New York

Let me say simply ~ though I write this years since I was last at Yummy Machi, I HAD to write this review NOW because I miss the great food and all those I got to know there over the years I lived and worked in SI!

Yummy Machi uses fresh fish that looks and tastes wonderful - you can even watch them make it while you wait! The bubble tea bursting bubbles are fun and their flavor selection is pretty awesome! Though this is not a traditional sit down and be served Japanese sushi restaurant, if it is all I remember it to be, EAT HERE! you will consider yourself lucky to be able to go, order and enjoy fresh delicious sushi, sashimi and other delectable Japanese cuisine - and at a GREAT price!

No matter where I've lived/worked since then, NO Japanese restaurant food (or service!) compares to that of YM! Right now, I am eating at another Japanese sushi restaurant in another city, in another state... and all I can think of is how I wish I could be back eating at...

Very nice staff! I talked with the lady who co-owns the place and she's super friendly. Asked me about my life, offered to do extra stuff to make my meal better, offered a free lemonade. Really appreciated that.

I was frustrated with the long wait time. As I waited they served several other people and didn't even take my drink order until the end. It felt disjointed, and it felt like a waste of my time for me to stand there for five plus minutes. I was literally reading the news because they were doing so much else.

The food is good. I got vegetable teriyaki and latte bubble tea. I enjoyed the rice, although I wished they had a better variety of vegetables (like more carrots). The bubble tea was crazy good, and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet.

I love bubble tea & only reason I visit this place because of that lol. I can't eat their yummy food because it's not halal . Is very conveniently located near my area.

My mom was saying she always seen people eating something black from a drink lol, what's that ! So I took her the other day so she can try some . She has a very particular taste when comes to food. I played safe & got her a coconut bubble tea lol, nothing fancy ! Thank God she liked it. So if she likes it then I can confirm that it was good . And I got coffee flavored one .

Customer service could be better, store isn't that clean. They still have those plastic things in-front & I feel little suffocated. But I understand that they just wanna stay safe & there is nothing...
