The staff were friendly and explained the rules well. The drink selection was fantastic. I only had a plain iced coffee but the Oreo latte was truly tempting.
When I walked into the cat area there was a distinct odor. It didn’t smell like fresh “leavings.” It smelled like an old odor, that’s settled in to stay. Some might think “What did you expect?” But I’ve been in several cat cafes, and open floor plan cat shelters, and I can tell you that they don’t all have odors like this. Also one cat with a flat face, had dried feces on its rear, and the face was extremely dirty. A few of the smaller cats and kittens had dirty noses or goopy eyes. The cats more or less tolerated each other, but were edgy frequently; yelling at each other and swatting at each other. Again, there are plenty of places where this doesn’t happen, because the cats are carefully selected and evaluated.
One of the cats was “the manager’s cat.” Sorry but I wouldn’t leave my own pet cat in that environment.
20 minutes in, some of the staff came in to sweep and clean and change food and water. They did clean a lot of messes because the jittery cats were constantly freaking out and kicking bowls and furniture over.
One of the employees was scuffing a large adult cat by the neck, for swatting another cat. This isn’t how you handle these situations. Ask any behaviorist.
I came home and could smell the cafe on myself. I don’t usually smell things as easily as others do, so if I was bothered by the odor then it was probably strong.
Some of the merchandise shelves had old merchandise, in disarray.
I think this place serves a good purpose but it just needs some improvements in maintenance and...
Read moreI visited this cafe a few months back and did not feel comfortable morally supporting this business. I was excited to come for the first time to this cafe and purchased the unlimited time session but when I arrived there were a few things that I didn't like. First I understand that some cats in these cafes are rescues and are being rehabilitated for adoption, however many of the young kittens there were visibly sick and sneezing and were not separated from the other cats. I didn't feel comfortable that these clearly sick cats were able to handle and roam around the other cats, but also spread the sickness among all the other kittens. Throughout the time I was there multiple kittens were sneezing uncontrollably and there was only one volunteer there that was not watching or knowledgeable about the cats or supplies there. One kitten had a hard piece of stool stuck in its butt, and was clearly there for a long time and was fused to its skin. I was able to find napkins and tried to clean him up but it was really stuck and i did not want to hurt the kitten. We asked multiple people including the staff outside and the volunteer for any wet wipes but nobody knew or cared where they were. One employee tried once and when they couldn't get it just said don't worry it'll be fine, put the cat back down with the other guests and cats in the cafe area and left. This made me feel really bad to support a business that treated its...
Read moreMy daughters and I had a really wonderful and fun experience last Sunday at this newly opened cat cafe.
The staffs were very friendly and kind to us. We enjoyed everything we ordered food wise, especially the freshly made Chocolate and Macha bubble waffles were my children's favorite. The drinks were delicious too from my ice almond latte to the mango & strawberry cream milk my children ordered.
We spent our time playing and petting all the cute cats, and I learned most of their cats are from an animal shelter, this cat cafe provides a bridge to people who are interested in adopting those cat and giving them a loving home. What a wonderful thing for them to do!
Not only we had so much fun playing with and taking photos with all the cats, enjoying yummy food and drinks. We were deeply touched by their kindness and loving spirts.
I highly recommend this newly opened establishment and I hope they get more support and exposure helping them spread out good cause and more cats would find new...
