Food: I’ve noticed a significant decline in the food quality compared to when I first started coming here. On my last two visits, the tamales were noticeably bland and lacked the flavor they used to have. It’s disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be purchasing from them again.
Staff: There have been multiple occasions where I placed large orders, only to find tamales missing once I got home. Most recently, I was overcharged for my order and didn’t realize it until afterward. While some staff members are helpful and courteous, the overall experience has been inconsistent.
Price: Prices have continued to rise, yet portion sizes have shrunk and quality has declined. It no longer feels like you’re getting what you pay for.

Read moreAfter reading the story of the hard-working owner, I journeyed (50 min walk) to this location to try my very first tamale. The shop is beautiful, welcoming and bright. The service is wonderful and the lovely counter person cheerfully explained the menu to me. The tamales were amazing! So delicious and comforting. I bought 3 and enjoyed every moment of the experience. The choc atole was spectacular! I drank this hot drink on a 95 degree day and found it comforting and refreshing. Unfortunately, the girls there are so busy -or distracted by God only knows what- that when you ask for specific flavors, they always get it wrong. I am a weekly client, every week I have the same high hopes that I will get what I actually ordered, but no, every week is the same disappointment, “Usted pida los sabores de tamales que Usted quiera, y nosotros le daremos los que nos de nuestra regalada gana” it seems to be the mantra there.
