Freckle's Juice — Restaurant in New York

Before I explain why I gave this place 3 stars instead of 5, I would like to point out how great this business is and how Alex provides superb customer service. The food and drinks made here are phenomenal. It is so great to have such an establishment here in the bronx that promotes healthy eating. I love the fact that I can support a local business right here in my hometown. So it hurt my heart to have to say the staff are not so friendly. The two times I went to visit I felt insulted as a paying customer. The first time I was waiting for my sandwich to be made which was taking a while but I didn't mind because I was enjoying the many artworks placed on their wall. I heard someone say "Why is she still here?" I know I would have felt better if she had said, "Is she being helped?" The second time as I was speaking with Alex, another clerk kept interrupting by saying the phone is ringing. So she wanted him to stop informing me about what the store has to offer, to answer the phone that she could have answered. On both occasion Alex made me feel welcomed and was extremely friendly. He knows how to provide great customer service. He is genuine and knows how to talk and deal with people. I come to freckles often over the past few years. It’s always nice having a cool juice bar in your community. The smoothies are great, however the menu has not changed overtime. The same options are available and there are not many.

Today, I went and bought two small smoothies. The love sponge and the almo goodness. Those two smoothies came out to a total of $19 which is quite expensive. They’ve always been more on the pricey side which is why I go a few times a year.

Their point system is also lackadaisical. One point per visit… that takes ages to reach any reward. I’ve spent a lot of money with freckles over time and the point never got me anywhere compared to the amount of money I’ve spent.

I went there trying to get a healthy smoothie for breakfast. The ladies customer service was very friendly and professional. She gave me options on what type of smooth texture, and creaminess I was looking for. She also gave me a sample of smoothie that is called one love on their menu. When it came down to me smoothie which is a blueberry fuller smooth. I was in heaven, its like I was hooked. I've never had a smoothie so good in my life. No natural and so organic. Every sip I took was more joyful, I wish you guys had a branch in brooklyn, which I live at. You guys should open more stores across New York City one for every boro.
