Great service. the prices for the fish is excellent If you’re looking for the freshest catch without sinking your wallet, S&Y Fish Market is the hidden gem you’ve been dreaming of. Nestled just off the main strip, this market isn’t flashy—but once you step inside, the scent of the sea and the vibrant displays of glistening fish and shellfish immediately let you know you’ve found the real deal.
What truly sets S&Y fish apart are the unbeatable prices. Wild-caught salmon? Half the cost you’d pay at a big chain store. Jumbo shrimp? Practically leaping into your basket at prices so good, you’ll wonder if it’s a mistake. Even premium items like swordfish steaks and lobster tails come in at rates that make planning a seafood feast feel downright necessary.
The staff is just as refreshing as the fish—friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend what’s best that day. Whether you’re a seasoned seafood chef or a first-timer looking for a simple recipe, they’ll make sure you leave confident and excited.

I put it back in the fridge to return. The day I bought this item I bought a bunch of greens etc so I threw out the receipt no thinking I would have to return a food item. The sea moss gel smelled like a dead animal, I was disgusted. People can get sick ingesting this item. I politely explained to the store owner and idiotic floor manager, while I understood I dint have a receipt by my appearance they could see I wasn't trying to get over on them for $8.99 and I drove from the other side of the BX. I even suggested that if its I can take other replacement items in the amount of the $8.99 being that I threw away the receipt, they acted and was coming across like I didn't purchase it there and did not make any attempt for a return or replacement of item. They should have used they discretion and not be so arrogant. I've been shopping there for over 20 years, but I'll def let my family and friends know of such a bad experience. ...
Read moreI live in Manhattan and it is hard to find really good Authentic Jamaican and Caribbean items. These items are usually in areas where the population of the Caribbean diaspora is present.
I decided to give the place a try as it is very close to the 5 Train last stop.
I really only needed BetaPack curry and it did not take long for me to find and to buy some other items.
A pack of fresh garlic cost 4 dollars here in Manhattan, I can get for a 1.49 there. (So I end up by 2 packs)
Items like Fresh Callalloo, Breadfruit, Can Ackee. There is even a fish market were fish like Red Snapper, Porgy, Whiting, Mackerel is much cheaper than what I can find near me.
The train ride was about a 30 minutes. I will definitely...
