This is stablish what has been around for a long time I grew up here and the pizza has changed and not for the better I don't understand how it one number one Pizza's . I've eaten in several places and by far they are much better than here I love whole wheat pizza in a lot of people I know do as well I asked him about putting in slices for quite a while I've yet to see that happen I've asked him about white pizza Bianco whatever you want to call it I've yet to see that happen.
It is too top-heavy the dough is could be thinner but it is too top-heavy it is so much cheese you when you fold it over which is how you should really eat pizza it'll slides right off I had some friends of mine come and visit and I went up there and they had regular cheese pizza. They were very disappointed. It was horrible. First or we sat down at the table he have plastic knife it was so heavy she tried to cut it she couldn't and the cheese kept sliding right off the slice. I told them to complain but they said why bother they make it out like we don't know what we talkin about which usually happens. They spread the word around to people they know and I did as well I've lived here for over 55 years and never had a problem really with them but something needs to be done they keep renovating the place which is totally unnecessary they're not making it bigger and it jacking up the prices a local pizza parlor should not cost more money than a fancy Italian restaurants for example like shrimp parmesan.
I myself ask for two cheese slices regular cheese slices the guy I shoved it in a small brown bag on the plates I cross the street on Hillside Avenue started going down maybe two houses down to 205th Street. I was holding it the proper way in fact I even bought myself a plastic bag I was wondering why it felt so wet I looked at my shirt it had grease all over it dripping out of the bags and when I opened up the brown paper bag all the cheese was off 2 slices I threw them both away in the trash can.
They need to pay attention to what the workers are doing but they need to work on making better Pizza. Pizza you can...
Read moreNo other pizza place has compared for me (except maybe Il Sapore). Even the high rated pizza places taste meh to me. Gaby’s has really set the standard for how pizza should be made. I used to eat dominos and now I’m addicted to Gaby’s and their authentic taste. No wonder Rachel Ray loved them so much. When I realized I didn’t make a review on them, I thought they definitely deserve these five stars because I’ve been going to them for YEARS. I am such a loyal customer I even ordered during the pandemic (which they were mostly open for, that’s super difficult so I applaud them for doing so because NY was closed off). They’re probably tired of me ordering all the time (or maybe they’re happy lol since they’re making $). The pizza is amazing, the customer service is really nice, I mean what more is there? It’s expensive but the slices are big and tasty so I don’t regret it. Another con would probably be the wait: it takes a long time. However, this is just a sentiment to how good the food is since everyone comes here to buy it. Also, they put a lot of effort into crafting the pizza so that is another reason. It’s quality pizza and it fills you up! They’ve been adding things to their menu like chicken wings which tasted really good. If you’re ever in the Queens area,...
Read moreLife long Queens resident, 35+ years and when you speak "pizza" there are a few iconic names and some newer notable mentions. Dani's, Lucia's, Sam's, Margherita's and I'd usually include Gaby's in this mix. I have stopped in here on numerous occasions, and my last visit was with my Mother, where we sat inside and enjoyed quality time together. Popped in here the other day in the pouring rain while in the area for a meeting. My lady has never had a slice from here, and I thought we could share a new to her experience. Walked in, guy was fumbling around with Easter decor by the counter. We near the front, he decides to step out in front of us and say "oh, sorry". No doubt. Ordered two slices to-go and two fountain drinks. A few minutes later after paying, guy slid me a tray with the two plain slices....that I asked for to-go. Not sure if he understood what to-go meant, but a tray was not ideal. Didn't make an issue out of it as I was double parked out front in the fire lane. Took the slices out in the rain, raw dog, but needless to say, they were mid-tier to mediocre. Service was non-existent and shotty, to say the least. What was once an Eastern Queens landmark is nothing more than a waste of time at this...
