Gino's of Whitestone — Restaurant in New York

At my lowest point when I was broke broke a very shady and bad job agency (el mundo) set me up here. I was told to come at 6 and no later to meet with and speak with Sal. At 5:50 I walk in and Sal is not there I spoke with the woman manager who was there she knew I was coming but I was unfit to start that day which was fair I lived in a bad basement with random dust and no ventilation so it was rough. But I was told to come back tomorrow at 11 as Sal wasn't coming in. I was told I'd be provided a hat by this lady and I was told nothing about shaving (I previously worked at dominos and dominos provides beard nets I assumed this was a standard) but I walk in and Sal is there and instantly he goes Where's your hat? Why didn't you shave? Yk what just go home. And it's like the manager lady the day prior didn't mention my beard and said they would provide a hat.

Tldr; I really don't think management communicates with each other and it doesn't seem the best place to work as a result. Also I don't remember the food I did get to...

A friend told us about this spot and didn't expect to have anything but good pizza. My son had a couple of slices while I opted for a full meal with my wife. We ordered mussels marina as an appetizer and chicken parmesan for main course with the Ginos salad. Took a bite of the pizza and it was crispy with the perfect tang of sauce and melted cheese. So good! The healthy portion of the savory mussels marina made us want to order extra bread to dip and not waste the sauce. Sooo amazing! Our server, Sabrina was very pleasant and attentive. My 9yr old son ended up crushing on her lol. The chicken parmesan was so crispy yet savory and the sauce equally fantastic. Oh, it came with a side of rigatoni vodka. Best vodka sauce I've ever had! We had a tartufo for dessert that was great. Now I'm very curious about their homemade tiramisu...(next time!) At the end of the meal, the hostess, Kathy came to our table and chatted up our son.
