Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

The place was very clean during a time I'd consider heavy traffic (4:30ish). There wasn't a lingering food smell so nothing to hang on to your clothes or hair once you leave. The counters were clean and the food casing was neat and clean as well. Hoeever, i must say, the price was outlandish for the oxtail‼️ I understated food prices have risen and oxtail in general has become a major delicacy, a previously detested meat, but the way they were charing is ridiculous 😳. So I ordered oxtail and steammed mixed veggies. The server/cashier said the following, "We weigh the oxtail onces it's in the container with the veggies and plantain." I noticed the posted sign after. So I said, you mean to tell me you're charging $12 or $14/lb for the oxtail and you're weighing the oxtail, container, veggies and plantain? She said yes and I said take out the oxtail and give me the goat‼️‼️I mean if they charged me just for the oxtail separate I would've been fine with the inflated price, but I'm not paying oxtail price for the container, veggies and 2 pieces of plantain!!! This was my favorite spot when it was just open in 2005 when Titus use to be in the restaurant. He was pleasant, treated his customers with respect, customer service was the best. It has gotten worse since he hasn't been around as much. Customer service is not as great, lot of attitudes from workers.The food is not as delicious. I feel like the cooks are doing their own thing. I use to be able to purchase patties anytime of the day there was no limit to how much I can purchase. I have to get there by noon if I want to get my patties and they limit the amount. I think one person can purchase no more than 3. Never heard such nonsense. When you go to the Chinese restaurant they don't care about how much you order, no limit, you will get free stuff the more you order. Jamaicans always come up with stuff that doesn't make sense. Always disappointed when I go to get my patties. I will not go anymore at this location until Titus does something with the restrictions on patties and customer service. Ordered Curry Chicken via UberEats. My chicken was completely raw on the inside. I contacted the location, was placed on several holds before being told by the worker “I just went and looked at a piece of chicken from the same pot and the chicken was fine.” I informed that MY chicken was in fact NOT FINE and I noted my offensive taken as the worker appeared to insinuate I was lying. The worker then proceeded to tell me she will inform management and they will “make a decision regarding my complaint, and get back to me at another time”. AGAIN MAKING IT APPEAR AS THOUGH THIS IS AN INCONVENIENCE TO THEM. I will never order from here again. Instead of honoring the word of a valued customer and offering to send out another order or even refund me my money, I was told I had to wait for a decision to be made.
