I was in search of an affordable, Asian fruit cream cake and found this local bakery with good rating. Decided to check it out before I order my cake and was impressed by the decent selection of baked buns, breads, rice noodle rolls, dim sum, and Asian-style Western desserts. I really liked the more different baked buns here: Like mustard hot dog bun, buttery layered hot dog bun, etc. The rice noodle rolls met expectations as well (not mushy and meaty).

Back to cake: You pick a design you like on their iPad. There are so many typical pretty cream cake designs. Included filling is the standard mixed fruit but you can add some money to upgrade to chestnut or taro filling. The 6 inch starts at $38 (depending on design), which is super reasonable. Taste-wise, really happy for $38 and exceeded my expectations. The cream was airy and smooth (not thick and sugary like the Western kind). The sponge cake layer was perfectly spongey, not too eggy. However, it should be noted that this establishment is a bakery and charges restaurant prices for its rice, noodles, and dim sum, which are likely not homemade. I would recommend this place for its drinks and ice cream egg waffle but not for its rice, noodles, or dim sum.
