Avoid at all costs. Absolutely atrocious customer service. I put coffee in my to go cup and ordered pastries and was trying to use my credit card when girl behind the counter told me their card machine is not working. I asked if maybe i could use Venmo or any other solution as i had no cash on me. Girl behind the counter very rudely said no. I said i will have to get $ from ATM then - girl who was serving me told me where nearest ATM was. I stepped out and second girl run after me telling me I didnāt pay for coffee, which i obviously could not do. I told her again Iām going to get $ from ATM. I came back in about 5 minutes with cash to pay for coffee. They charged me for coffee but magically the pastries i wanted to get all disappeared. I was told they donāt have any more of the 4 full trays i saw 5 minutes earlier. I asked the girl if she thought they handled the situation right - she called me a thief and said i just left without telling them I was going to ATM. ( She told me where ATM was located before I left.) Iāve never seen counter person handling similar situation as badly as both of the woman working there today. The worst customer service ever. Their card reader is not working and they tell me I STOLE the coffee because I went to get cash from ATM. Taking into consideration I had 3 kids with me at the time makes this 100 times worst. I run a small business myself and the way they handled this situation should get both of those woman fired on the spot. Iām going back tomorrow to talk with a manager. My only complaint which changed this from 5 stars to 3 stars is the girl who attended me in the shop. From the start, she looked upset and after a bit of confusion with who was next she rudely almost commanded me over. She then proceeded to keep a monotone upset tone and was extremely rude when ringing me up which came to light when she sucked her teeth at the fact I wanted to add on a pack of brownies as she had finished scanning the previous items. First off, SHE SHOULDāVE been happy there was service and I was purchasing and instead I was treated so poorly. She raised her voice to me when I asked about jelly cookies and called her out on the fact they were on the side which I noticed when I had finished paying. She then packed them up as I asked and told me they were different filling with a loud tone so I raised my voice right back. Iām not too sure if anyone else like this girl at the register works there, but to me customer service is half the experience and being treated rudely is not what Iām looking for in a shop. I pay for them and take them home to find out the lazy girl behind the counter didnt make the effort to properly fill the canollis. They were empty inside with just enough filling to cover both the holes on each end. There pastries aren't cheap either!!. But that's not what really made me write this review. There quality of pastries overall has gone down tremendously over the years but what really made me upset was the birthday cake I ordered for my child. Who ever made the cake took the time to make the outside of the cake very beautiful. I was excited to eat the cake until I cut the first slice. It was a dry cake with a uneven spreading of the filling. Literally one side of the cake had filling wile the other side had nearly nothing at all. My childs first slice of birthday cake was a dry layered cake with no filling and a ton of butter cream on the outside. This is my example of laziness and there lack of care /attention to quality. I used to continue going to this bakery despite my awareness of there decreased quality but this was the final straw for me unfortunately. I wont be coming back here...
