Such a lovely neighborhood staple!! They have everryyything here, and if they don't they will let you know when they will!
I was able to get everything I needed for my first (of many) housewarming projects... I had a vision for a pearlescent wall with a glitter paint stencil, and they were super helpful and knowledgeable to talk me through that I needed! They even ordered more of the glitter paint in the color that I needed, when it wasn't there the first time I went.
Look how pretty this wall came out! Of course, the photo makes it hard to capture the lovely pearlescent sheen as well as the sparkle of the glitter... But I'm sure you can still tell it's gorgeous.

Read moreThese guys have been a staple in the neighborhood forever. While they have or can get pretty much anything you’d want at a hardware store, their real value is their breadth of knowledge. They can help you troubleshoot almost any problem you could have in your apartment. And when you come in looking for an item, they often ask what you need it for, before presenting a better way of doing what you want done. Friendly, knowledgeable guys. I hope they own the building and don’t have to pay rent so the yuppie transplants and greedy landlords don’t price them out. The day their shop is gone Ridgewood will be a poorer place.
