Grin — Restaurant in New York

I recently purchased a bottle of natural milk from Le Grin African Restaurant, expecting a fresh and high-quality product. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing and concerning.

When I opened the bottle and took a sip, the milk tasted absolutely terrible—clearly spoiled. Trying to understand what went wrong, I checked the expiration date on the label, only to find something shocking. The original expiration date was clearly January 20, 2025, but someone had manually altered it to March 20, 2025, using handwriting. It was obvious that the date had been tampered with in an attempt to make it seem like the product was still good.

This is completely unethical and dangerous. Selling expired dairy products by simply changing the expiration date is not only deceptive but also a serious health hazard. Consuming spoiled milk can cause food poisoning, and I find it unacceptable that a business would risk the health of its customers like this.

I am beyond disappointed. This is a serious food safety issue that should not be ignored. If a business cannot ensure the quality and freshness of the products they sell, they should not be selling them at all. I strongly urge other customers to double-check expiration dates on perishable products from this restaurant before purchasing.

Le Grin African Restaurant needs to immediately address this issue. Selling expired food with falsified expiration dates is unacceptable and a major violation of customer trust. I will not be buying from here again unless they take full responsibility and make sure this never...

I recently visited Grin African American and was extremely disappointed by the customer service. It seems that if you are not friends with the person taking the orders(the little guy) you will be made to wait for hours. I have never experienced such poor service in any other restaurant. The level of disrespect was unbelievable. The person at the desk told me outright that he takes orders from whomever he wants and if I didn't agree with him, I could go somewhere else. He even said he wouldn't serve me the food.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable. It felt like they were more interested in serving their friends than providing good service to all customers. I hope the management takes steps to improve their service and treat all customers...

Food is really good but unfortunately the waitress was extremely rude. She slammed our food on the table and when we inquired about her attitude she walked away and began to speak in her Native language. She treated everyone else with respect except for us who only spoke English and not French. I've traveled to many countries interacting with many cultures and have never experienced Racism first hand from someone who's skin was full of Melanin as mines. It goes to show how far we as a people still have to go. So disappointed in her and her action. Would not recommend this establishment if you're not fluent in French you will be treated...
