Hines Park — Attraction in New York

Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to actually walk through the park, though I'm sure it's nice. It's actually a lovely area. Though, there was a problem: This. Kid. I had parked my car for what was likely a very short time period, I come back out, this kid is standing next to the driver's side car door of my vehicle.

Because I wasn't born last Tuesday, there was no way that I was about to walk into that. I tried to walk around the car and he begins to back-up - to basically try to force me to engage him. At that point I gave up because I refuse to have a conversation with some 15 year old sidewalk bandit about ANYTHING. Beat it kid!

AND WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS?

I ended up getting into the car from the passenger's side so as to avoid the whole problem that was a criminal minded teenager on the other side.

I supposed the teeny bopper carjack genius wasn't too pleased with this, because he then just stood in front the windshield so that he could get a good view of me while I sat in the passenger's seat. I suppose he was waiting for me to get out and go around to the driver's side door - which wasn't happening.

Instead I shimmied over from inside the car because I was not in the mood to get robbed by Baby Gangster on that day.

Cautionary tale. Take from it...
