Happy Garden — Restaurant in New York

My go to order is fried rice with chicken wings. It is really good everytime. Although I think the chicken has a weird salty aftertaste. Not sure how it is being prepared. But it is easily overlooked. Also the veggies in the rice could be little more tender. Very small portion of tostones (twice fried sliced green plantain) for the price. I suggest buying this elsewhere.. Their vegetable lomein is very good. And I switch up with this when I get tired of rice. Also when I place an order over the phone the total is always a little more than the menu price, maybe tax is being added or a over the phone order fee.? Not sure. All and all compared to other chinese restaurants in the area, they are the best...

This place is everything. The food is amazing and affordable. The woman who usually takes my orders is very friendly, welcoming, and one of the hardest workers I've ever seen in a kitchen. I say that as an experienced line cook who has worked with some terrible people. I have not found a place who can make their food better than the cooks at Happy Garden. I eat here so frequently, that you may as well call it a second home.

P.s. I absolutely loooove their spring rolls, brocolli w/garlic sauce and vegetable...

Food is good more often than not it depends who is there the older woman is great she caters to your request but there is a younger lady they seem to be training to take over she doesn’t care what size wings you get or how the food looks sometimes.
