The customer service is poor. I ordered a crispy chicken salad via Uber and when I arrived, the cashier asked to see the order on my phone and swiped that it was complete. Then he stepped away from the counter and returned with a receipt saying my food was not ready because they don’t have crispy chicken. I asked him why did he swipe my phone to complete the order and why did they update the app to say the order was ready if it was not prepared. He offered a few substitutes instead but I always get the same salad when I order from this restaurant so no, the substitutions would not be appropriate.

My significant other and I have spent close to $700 at Blazin in just the past 2-3 years ordering in person and online via Uber. I will not order anymore. It’s a waste of time and money for me to order food ahead of time only to arrive and it not be fulfilled. I then asked for a cash refund but the cashier said I had to contact Uber because I ordered through Uber which I understood; however, we all know how difficult that can be when you don’t have proof that the order is incomplete.

Pros: -Overall, the food tastes great and is reasonably priced -Excellent customer service. Steve is great and is attentive so he’ll make sure your order is correct and he makes excellent recommendations. -Located right at 167th St on the 4 line and is open late night

Cons: -The only con I have is that out of the 20+ times I’ve ordered, I did get food poisoning once which can happen anywhere even from home cooked meals. However, I gave them another chance (which I don’t do with most restaurants) and the food quality has improved since my first visit.

When this location first opened, service and food quality were great. Unfortunately, that has changed. I request fresh fries every time I visit or call in an order—and almost every time, I’m given old, soggy fries that were clearly sitting in a warmer. I always return the plate and ask for fresh fries, and I’m repeatedly told they are “fresh,” when they are not.

Most recently, I asked an employee to feel the fries himself, and he agreed they weren’t fresh. I was issued a refund—but this has become a regular issue. One employee in particular (glasses, long hair) has been consistently rude and combative when I’ve simply asked for my food to be made the way I request. This is unacceptable behavior from staff, especially when the issue is on their end.

Other locations across New Jersey get it right with no problem. I’m not looking for compensation—I just want my food made correctly the first time. A couple of staff members here have handled things professionally, but the recurring poor service and refusal to prepare food properly shows a clear lack of quality control and staff training at this location.
