I was just passing by through the neighborhood .I stopped at this restaurant just to get some sweets .But I heard a customer ordering Karhi ( yogurt cooked with pakooras ) so I decided to lunch here .the pakora Karhi was so delicious that I ate 4 rotis and also a full order to take home .Roti / pita bread was freshly made .a small portion of Raita & Achar was good enough to get a little spicy touch . This place has a $6:99 Mini Platter which contains 1 vegetable or Dal ( lentils) 2 Roti Raita & Achar ) . It's good enough to fill the stomach and kill hunger for someone on a budget .. Another Platter is for $11:50 which contains 2 vegetables Dal 3 Roti Rice Raita Achar salad &sweet ( I will definitely try this one ) ..The owner ROMI is a young very decent and friendly guy .He talk very polite and is very professional ( saw him treating other customers) .He offer me some sweets ( a lado & Burfi to check the quality and taste of his sweets ) both were amazing not too sweet as most desi sweet shops do .the price was also excellent compared to Jackson heights places . We walked in a little after 8 pm and initially were not aware that the place closes at 9 pm. We were greeted very warmly by Ms.Sonia. She was very patient taking our dine-in order. After we mentioned we'd like to order takeout as well, she quickly advised we order it then because #1 they were closing soon and #2 they get busy. This is a small business so I completely understand and appreciate the heads up. We ordered a Bombay sandwich and chole bhature to stay. And got aloo and gobi paratha, it comes with a side of yogurt and pickle. Dal makhani, shahi paneer, chapati and rice to go. This is the most authentic home made fresh punjabi food in the area. Our sweet servers name was Harmann and she was very polite throughout our stay. We will definitely be back soon and anyone looking to have some garam garam ghar ka khana jaia yummy food should def come to Harry Sweets.

One of the most pleasant experiences I have had at an establishment. After seeing all the 5 star reviews, I decided to come here with my friend and was BLOWN AWAY. The owner was such a gem- he even offered to accommodate my order due to my allergy and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. The food was just as incredible and very fresh unlike my expectations with restaurants. The mini thali was perfect quantity for lunch. What made this experience even more enjoyable was when the owner offered us complimentary sweets- that may well have been the best laddu i have ever had in my life. Overall, this is an incredible establishment and I will go out of my way to come here every time I crave indian....
